Are you concerned about maintaining and protecting your vision? Would you take some simple steps to energize and protect your eyes? Of course you would. That's why I've written this book. Your eyes are a delicate and sensitive part of your body. Aging, pollution, and sun exposure can weaken or damage them. Tired or sore eyes may bother you, or perhaps you are at risk for long-term vision problems.
Cataracts are the number one cause of impaired vision among people over age sixty-five, and age-related macular degeneration is the leading cause of blindness in people over fifty. Statistics declare that half of America's population will have developed cataracts between the ages of sixty-five and seventy-four, with three out of four Americans suffering from a vision problem of one kind or another right now. One in three people will be diagnosed with macular degeneration by the time they reach age seventy-five.
Traditional medicine takes a "wait and see" attitude toward early vision-stealing warning signs. "Let's just watch this," many physicians say when they see cataracts beginning to cloud over a patient's lens.
"Watch what?" is my question. "Watch it get worse?" Well, vision problems are not for life, and they don't necessarily have to be corrected with surgery. There are ways to halt the progress of these conditions, and now we are finding that they can even be reversed to some extent. I refuse to watch and wait until the lens grows so cloudy that it must be surgically removed. There's a better way!
God has given us a variety of natural products that can halt the degeneration of our precious eyesight, and that's what this book is all about. We're going to discuss bilberry, lutein, vitamin C, zinc, Pycnogenol, glutathione, and more natural products that are found in plant pigments. These and other nutrients work to improve night vision, reduce eyestrain, and strengthen all parts of the eye, while preventing or reversing serious vision challenges such as cataracts, glaucoma, and macular degeneration.
Even if you have been diagnosed with a progressive vision problem, it's not too late for your vision to be salvagedor even restored! Eyes are mentioned 105 times in the Bible. Obviously, the subject of the eyes is so important to God that throughout His Word we see references to look upon what you see as God sees, how He sees us, how we are to see the world, how we are to see others, and how we are to see Him.
He promised in Psalm 91 that we will enjoy long life, and we're not going to have a dim vision of life caused by vision thieves! But we must apply God's Word to our situations. For example, in Luke 21 Jesus details the signs of the times and the end of the age. He admonishes us to "keep awake then and watch at all times [be discreet, attentive, and ready]" (v. 36 amp). He's telling us to use these miraculous eyes He gave us to truly observe what is taking place around us.
"I will lift up my eyes to the hills; From whence comes my help? My help comes from the Lord, Who made heaven and earth" (Psalm 121:12 nkjv). Do what you can do in the natural to protect your vision, and God will do what only He can do in the supernatural. God truly loves you and cares about what concerns you. He wants you to enjoy comfortable and stable eyesight! Let's find out how to achieve that!
