Forget the hype on the cover. This is NOT just another self-help book. It's purely Biblical and helped me greatly after a conflict with a mentally-disturbed, violent family member. Just reading the book will bring peace to your soul. Written in 1953, there's none of the contemporary weight or strife, the prose has a kind of purity to it. No, Pastor Allen is not C.S. Lewis, N.T. Wright or Brennan Manning. But his stuff is great. Buy two copies and give a friend one.
