For the record, this author and I are not the same person. I'm the author of Stealing Faces and other thrillers, which collectively have sold more than 1 million copies in ebook form. Mr. Michael J. Prescott (middle initials matter) is someone else entirely. Not having read the book, or story, or whatever it is, I'll give it a neutral three stars. Nice cover photo, anyway! - Michael Prescott

I had just finished reading "Stealing Faces", thought I'd check out the latest from Mr Prescott. This book is 18 pages but complete. Couple of spelling errors. Adult read? Absolutely.

I thought thought this author was the same writer as author of Riptide, Shiver, etc. IT IS NOT. Note the middle initial. Give 2 stars for effort to the writer.

@treepster. What kind of moron gives ANYTHING a one-star rating without trying it first? I thought it was brilliant and I *did* read it!

Thank you Mr. Prescott for clarifying that you are not the author of the above book, or the other "adult" books published by Michael J. Prescott. I thought that was a bit weird to see this type of writing from you, because I've read a bunch of your books and have enjoyed them so very much. I especially loved "Shiver", which reminds me that I should go and write a review for that book. As for the this book, I gave it one star without even reading it. It might be a great book for someone who likes that style. Just not my style.

It’s amazing how many readers here don’t know what a ‘short story is’. Are these kids logging in and leaving these inane comments? Someone said this was a ‘sample’. It’s not a sample at all; it’s a complete short story! Ye gods, is the country’s literacy rate going down? Do we really not understand what a short story is? Another left a ‘review’ about the cover? Really? How very sad. Yet another said “too short to be called a book.” Er, what else do you call an ebook? Anyway, the fools aside, this story hits the nail on the head and had me Going UP all the way! There are some excellent descriptions and I wouldn’t mind ‘bumping’ into the lady in this story myself! Nice one.

Much to short to be called a book. No story.

You can read it in five minutes. There is no refund of your time or money for this parody of the style of a 1950's mens magazine.
