In April, 2010, Mike Link and Kate Crowley set out on their 1555-mile walk around Lake Superior. Leading up to this journey, the couple developed a large and devout following by utilizing social media, their own website, fullcirclesuperior.org, keeping a detailed blog about the planning and preparation, and by traveling lake-wide to garner support and discuss the current issues Lake Superior faces.

If you love Lake Superior, then you will enjoy this book. Mike Link and Kate Crowley have written an inspiring story that does an excellent job in connecting the reader to the Lake, its towns that lie along its shoreline, and the people and wildlife, who rely on its resources. As they share their daily triumphs, frustrations and pain along one of this country’s most important resources for freshwater, their story encourages a feeling of intimacy between the reader and the lake. I also appreciated the honesty in the way they described their relationship with the Lake, their family, friends and the strangers they met along the way.
