Overview

If you want to hear God laugh, tell Him your plan…

The best thing that ever happened to Dr. Scot Hodkiewicz and his family was being hit head-on at seventy miles per hour by an eight-time drunk driver.

After the brutal crash, Scot and his wife endured grueling physical therapy, Scot descended into a humbling opioid addiction, and the couple faced the potential loss of the business and lifestyle they’d worked so hard to build.

But the pain and fear that shattered their world allowed God’s light to shine through, radically changing Scot and his family and teaching them to embrace God’s plan, rather than their own.

Now, Scot shares the story of his family’s faith journey to help you on yours. Featuring Scripture verses and reflection questions, Going Through Hell to Get to Heaven is an ideal companion for Christians seeking to walk more closely with God.

Whether you’re reading the book individually or using it in a group setting, you will share in the miraculous experiences that transformed Scot's life, enabling you to turn your pain to joy and confidently say, “Not my will, but Yours.”

Features four pages of photos!

About the Author

Dr. Scot Hodkiewicz is a veterinarian who lives in Lake Geneva, Wisconsin, with his wife, three children, and a menagerie of animals. Winner of an eLiterature Gold Medal Award and a Goodreads Five Star Readers Favorite Award, Dr. Scot never intended to be a writer until he was moved to share the story of his near-fatal car accident and his resulting journey of faith. When he’s not working or spending time with his family, Dr. Scot volunteers on youth mission trips and at a local wildlife rehabilitation hospital in addition to serving as a leader in his church.
