The Title exactly suits the book, as the book illustrates the role and importance of magnificient Gold in ancient egyptian's daily life. Muller-a professor in Egyptology, brings to us the pomposity of Pharoahs' life and death embedded in shimmering gold shining under the beauty of 'Re'. Thiem-a photographer and collector, gives us a visual treat by showcasing the lost&found and preserved wealth of ancient egypt, in a splendid collection of photographs which can not be described. Thier combined effort to encompass the grandeur of a lost civilisation has been successful.
