I have such powerful gratitude for both this moving work and Mr. Shelton penning it. As someone who has both been bullied and also languished for decades over my own cruel formative lapses of kindness, I found such redemption in this sweet book. A sandwich always tastes better when it is prepared by someone else and an apologia and testament is always more credible and complete when voiced by someone with a common pain, grievance, lamentation. As the pandemic of bullying metastasises out of control and as people and homes become more dislocated by the dulling of the digital high-tide, I think this sort of simple reminder shared between parents and children in every home and library is a good start. Thank you sir for this! I've bought a copy for our town library as well as our grammar schools and am directed parents, teachers and friends sites where it is available. Keep up the good work!
This book should be required reading for every student, teacher, and parent of school aged children. It offers a perspective on bullying that is not often seen- the perspective not of the direct victim, but of the child who is impacted by witnessing bullying. A great read with a lesson included. You can't ask for more than that from a book. Well worth the money.
