My 3 children and I love this book! I call each of them by name as each dragon in introduced, and make a big deal about all the sound effects. I'm planning to even use it in my music classes at school! This has become one of our favorite books!

My son is a first grader and this book was just right for him, challenging without being too hard and easy enough for independent reading without being too easy. He loves dragons and knights, so it was a huge hit here!

Good Night, Good Knight is a charming bedtime story. The Knight, like so many tireless caregivers, is patient and perseveres. The Dragons easily remind us of children we know - avoiding bedtime, and making myriad requests...for stories and water and kisses. This sweet story is a favorite in my household.

What a great storybook for kids and their grownups to share at bedtime! My kids (ages 4 and 7) enjoy the pictures and the story as I read it to them (over and over again, I may add). As for me, I enjoy those things, too, as well as all the 'little things' that might escape a younger child: in particular, the all-too-familiar scenario of the knight being repeatedly summoned from his guard post at the castle to a cave in the woods by three baby dragons who need his help getting settled into their beds; the amusing expressions on the knight's face as he is constantly called back to dragons' cave for story-reading, water-fetching and good-night-kisses; and the knight's verbal expressions regarding the same ('You've got to be KIDDING me,' he remarks at one point). It's cute, funny and the perfect bedtime book, since all three dragons -- not to mention the knight -- wind up sound asleep by the end of the book. We all love this book so much that although I originally purchased the paperback edition, I eventually ordered the hardcover book with the hope it will last longer.

This is a FABULOUS book. I love it! My kids love it! It is the most requested book for our evening read-aloud sessions. The grown-ups identify with the good knight. The kids identify with both the good knight and the dragons. And everyone loves the ending. The written-in sound effects are fun and the repetition allows for listener participation. I wish I could give it 6 stars at least.

This whimsical story about a good Knight who helps 3 sweet dragons should be the next classic 'must read'! It is FUN to read and my 3 1/2 year old loves to get involved in the story by 'roaring' and 'clippety clopping' along. We LOVE it! Do yourself and your kids a favor and get this book!
