Dave's book this time is just a little bit different. It's just a little bit more serious. It still has A LOT of funny stuff in it. I found myself laughing out loud about 30 or more times as I read through the 196 pages.) Dave has been asked by groups around the country to be their key note speaker at marriage seminars. I noticed that a lot of the material in THIS book is just right on the mark as far as helping married couples get along. He really goes into depth without losing the jokes. It REALLY, REALLY, REALLY helped me and I'm not even married, and never have been. (I'm almost 50.) It gave me insight into marriage. In the back of the book he has written discussion questions for the married couple to ask one another. (This is to promote communication.) He uses the different chapters as a springboard to ask these serious (most of the time) and thought provoking questions. I believe they would be VERY helpful. As far as his beliefs about God, God's love, the purpose of marriage in God's plan, and just about anything else having to do with spiritual things, I felt that Dave hit the true meaning right on the mark. I believe in God, and it was strange to read someone else's conclusions about God and life etc. and to see that Dave and I had come to exactly the same conclusions as one another about these issues. (These days I don't too often hear people come to these conclusions.) It's easy to forget. Dave took the time to think deeply about these things, and to remind us. What a blessing! I'm very thankful for Dave. (He's married to my little sister.) I'm thankful because he takes good care of her. They take good care of one another. They have a good relationship. Read this book if you are married. There is a lot of insight in it. Also it has A LOT of Dave's great humor.
