Why I liked this book- This is a cute book. One character wants to sleep, the other doesn’t. A perfect scenario for mischief! I like Bear’s expressions, and Duck’s wild ideas. The story has a hint of an endless cycle, and a lot of fun. The pictures make you smile and laugh. Mr. John and Mr. Davies make a great team together, and it really keeps you on your toes. Just when you think you know what will happen next, you are in for a surprise! :) I love this book! *NOTE* I got a free copy of this book in exchange for an honest review
I loved the illustration, but I don't think the book is meant for children. I work so hard trying to teach my child manners and the language on this story is very rude using Whatever! and Fine! It is funny, but is adult humor.
This book is hilarious! Bear wants to go to sleep but his neighbor duck has other plans. Duck is reading a book called 101 Ways to Stay Awake and he is using his neighbor bear to help him stay awake. Bear’s facial expressions are funny as he looks as if he is about to fall asleep on his feet and duck is really wound up and ready to go. Duck knocks on bear’s door prompting bear to get out of bed to answer it. Bear immediately gets him back out the door so he can go back to sleep. Does this action stop duck from bothering bear again? No way. Duck is determined to stay up and he wants bear for company. I really enjoyed this book and the illustrations make this book a wonderful read. It is definitely worth checking out.
