Gotta Love High School is about four high school juniors experience the excitement of teenage life in all of its aspects: academic trials and achievements; athletic rivalries and heroics; and the complicated, occasionally heartwarming, but often antagonistic and competitive relationship game.

High school junior Brooke Dawson and her best friend Trevor Stevenson have always lacked the courage and confidence to go for what they want. Brooke wants to be a cheerleader. Trevor dreams of being a star on the basketball team.

An unexpected set of circumstances presents both Brooke and Trevor the opportunity to shoot for their dreams. But they'll both need to find their confidence to show what they've got and deal with the school's most popular pair: Sophia Garrison and Brett Evans. But that's just the beginning - Brooke and Trevor also need to handle the challenges presented by Daphne Carlisle and Jackson Everett.

Samarasinghe's new novel will appeal to all. And her style of capturing the action as if it were a documentary presents for exciting reading as the reader is able to see the action from each individual's view point.

I saw an interview featuring this young author on NBC, and I was amazed and went out to buy Dalaina & Gotta Love High School. These books were both equally fantastic!! I could totally relate to some of the things Brooke and Lola went through, although not to the same extent. There was so much excitement and action packed into both of the stories, and I absolutely loved reading them! I especially admired how the author had different writing styles¿from the ways of narrating the story through the four main characters¿ points of view to the narration by an outside voice, and from the elegantly classy voice to the modern voice, she covered quite a lot of techniques! I would definitely recommend both of the books to readers of all ages!! Great reads!!!

All I can say is that this book is amazing. I read it twice already and I had it just under a week. I have never been captivated by a book for a while now but this one just struck me. Not being sure what to buy I saw that a very young girl wrote this book and decided to check it out. Im happy I did and this book is still satisfying as if I never even read it before.

Sara Samarasinghe's second novel is great! 'Her first novel, Dalaina, I read last year and also enjoyed'. From the striking front cover to the quick and smooth moving story line, Sara's new novel captured my interest. I really liked her style of telling the story from the perspective of the 4 main characters because it gave me a way to see how Brooke, Trevor, Sophia, and Brett think and feel about the events of the day and their developing relationships. I also liked the way Sara incorporated text-messaging into the novel - it makes the story feel very real-life. I can't wait to read Sara's next novel.

This was an amazing book! I loved how the author captured the story from four points of view ¿ all narrated in the voices of four average teenagers. The story had a strong plot, and not only was there the sweetness of high school love, but also the thrilling adventure of the sports action and all the drama. Fabulous novel! From the cover, I noticed that this young author (thirteen years old!? Incredible!) has already written another book, so I read Dalaina and found that it was equally fantastic. Great read!
