The art scattered throughout the journal is beautiful, and the quotes Ruth painted are inspiring. This is a fun companion to the GraceLaced book, but would also make a sweet gift for a friend. I received an advance copy in exchange for my honest review.

This journal is such a sweet companion to Ruth Simon's book, Gracelaced, Dicovering Timeless Truths Through Seasons of the Heart. It is beautifully created and I just love the hand painted lines to scribble down my thoughts and respond to the tugs on my heart as I read and dig deeper in the Word. Although it matches her book, this journal is perfect for just that, journaling. While you don't NEED her book to go with it, but I would really reccomend it as it has been so transformative to my heart. I was honored to. E selected to be a part of her launch team and was given the book and journal in advance in exchange for an honest review. (I have since bought more copies of the book for friends and our upcoming study of the book!)

This season of my life has been quietly challenging. Under my roof is a five month old, a senior in high school, and everything inbetween. Our sweet 1st grader has been diagnosed with dyslexia and RAD (reactive attachment disorder). I’ve found myself looking down and whispering prayers, begging for help to be the mom that my family needs right now. I’m learning to let go of my to-do list, what I think is important, and my own goals. I’m noticing that my home is the most peaceful when I simply look into the eyes of my children, put away my distractions, and smile at their accomplishments, no matter how big or small. That might mean missing an event or letting the dishes stay in the sink while I tend to young hearts that need grace. I’m craving encouragement on this journey, as I learn more about the best way to love my little one. I’m praying that He will be glorified and that our sweet Riley will be healed. Ruth’s book has been a blessing of beautiful art and words that the Lord has used to lift my spirits. These words and these images breathed life into my challenges as I navigate learning a new way to parent and discipline. I know He wraps His loving arms around me as I walk straight into unknown, uncomfortable territory.

This journal is the perfect companion to Ruth Chou Simons’ book “Gracelaced: Discovering Timeless Truths Through Seasons of the Heart”. It’s simple— lined pages with several of her original artwork verses sprinkled throughout. It’s a nice, small size— perfect for slipping in my purse. There are no actual journaling prompts in the journal, but there are in the book, so you can use it in conjunction with the book, or just as a stand alone journal. (I received my copy of this journal in exchange for my review… but I’d happily recommend it just the same if I had paid full price!)

The GraceLaced journal is a perfect supplement to Ruth Chou Simon's book. It is gorgeous and makes me feel at ease. No more writing in a stark white, plain lined journal. This one is approachable and will be filled up quickly with the nuggets of wisdom that are not at all hard to come by in the GraceLaced book. I'm excited to explore the book with the journal by my side to record all of my "ah ha!" or "me too!" or "yes, exactly!" moments. You won't regret picking one up too. *I received an advanced copy of this journal in exchange for an honest review.

Gracelaced is a phenomenal devotional book! Not only is it incredibly inspiring and timely for varying seasons of your life, but it is also impeccably beautiful! The artwork is simply stunning! This is a unique book that breathes the heart of God and points you back to His unending truths each day through each season you find yourself in. I highly recommend this book for any woman of any age. It's relatable, comprehensive, truth filled, and encouraging! I received an advanced copy of this book in exchange for my honest review. I did buy extra copies for my sister in laws and other women for gifts! Gracelaced makes the perfect gift and also the perfect coffee table book!

I absolutely love the GraceLaced journal -- it's the perfect addition to the Gracelaced book to help jot down thoughts and respond to the devotional questions. However, it's also great as a stand-alone gift as it is gorgeous and still functional without the book! I would definitely recommend it to any of my friends if they are looking for a beautiful journal.

I was looking to this book for thoughts of purpose, thoughtful planning, and being present. I'm desperately needful of time each day to focus frenzied attentions, feed my forgetful heart on faithful promises, and to be set free from fearful fretting. Morning quiet moments quickly became richer as I delved into Ruth Chou Simons new book - the journal added a lot to this time. The words and art come together so beautifully to cheer the eyes and the heart. Author and artist Ruth Chou Simons has dished up a feast of intention-growing truths that are helping my internal work to prepare for the school year so much. Helping me see hope among the struggles. Helping me release these pent up anxieties and hand over my weaknesses to stronger hands. I'm thinking there is beauty and breath in here for whatever season you are in. I was inspired to write letters in the companion journal; to myself, and to ones I love; thoughts and words that are worth noting, to be shared or unshared for now. And I'm thankful the artwork has given me the needed prod to pick up the practice of watercolor where I dropped it last year during a dearth of mama-culture caused by a flood of unfruitful busyness and artless worry. Disclosure: I was sent an advance copy of the book and the journal in exchange for an honest review but I love it so much I will be giving copies as gifts in the future.

Beautiful journal! A great companion to the Gracelaced Devotion, or even as a daily journal. Simple, small, cute, easy to tote around. Almost too pretty to write in. Would make a great gift! Every few pages has a lovely painting by Ruth Chou Simons as a reminder to meditate on God's word.

I received an advanced copy of this journal along with Gracelaced book in exchange for my honest review. And honestly, I have to admit I was not going to use it. It was too pretty for me to “mess up”. So it was to my surprise that I found myself writing in it in spite of that. And what surprised me also was the way the text lent itself to capturing it in a form of prayer and having a space to write it all, with it's hand-painted lines and beautiful art through out, the Gracelaced journal became the perfect place. It's a great companion.
