From the #1 New York Times bestselling author comes a revised, repackaged novel sure to please her many fans. She writes "high speed comic mayhem" (Detroit Free Press); she's "a blast of fresh air" (Washington Post); "side-splitting funny" (Publishers Weekly) and "a winner" (Glamour). In other words, she's Janet Evanovich.

Berry Knudson had a talent for disaster, but when she climbed a tree to rescue a kitten, she wasn't prepared for the scrumptious hunk undressing in a nearby window, or her dive downward that smashed Jake Sawyer's pizza and won his heart! But was there room in her chaotic schedule for a risk-taking inventor with dreams? She took classes, delivered pizzas, and cared for three eccentric old ladies she rescued from the train station. But Jake thrived on a challenge, and he could be very inventive. Could he teach her there was time to make butterscotch pudding and let herself be loved?

I really enjoyed this book. In fact I couldn't put it down. It was funny, charming, romantic. I loved the 3 elderly ladies, they were so real and so funny. It was a little dramatic and I wish the book hadn't ended when it did, seemed like it could have went on a bit more but overall a really good book.

I became a huge fan of Janet Evanovich when I started reading the Stephanie Plum series, therefore, I decided to pick up one of her "older" novels. Yet again, Evanovich hits the mark with her novels. Although this book was a very quick read, it was cute, and fun. When climbing a tree to rescue a kitten, Berry doesn't realize what she is getting herself into when she sees a man in the window. From here on in, it is love at first sight, marriage in the horizon, and three old ladies. The book goes fast, and the ending really does end a bit quickly, but it is worth the read! Good book - great author.

The Grand Finale is a Loveswept pre-Plum romance by American author, Janet Evanovich. Divorcee Lingonberry Knudsen has a plan for her life: a night time delivery run for her pizza parlour while she goes to daytime classes to get her college degree. Along the way, Berry has acquired three old ladies in need of accommodation and employment, and life is running smoothly. Falling out of a tree while trying to rescue a kitten, onto a customer’s pizza, was not in the plan; nor was getting distracted by the owner of the kitten. Jake Sawyer, part-time first grade teacher, part-time inventor, is immediately taken by this quirky beauty. But Berry is having none of it, thank you. She has had one go at marriage, an unsuccessful go, and men are permanently off the agenda. But Jake is determined to win Berry’s heart. Sweet, funny, but just a bit too repetitive, and therefore too long.

Great read but the ending came up short!

This is a great blend of funny and sweet. It has Evanovich's usual slapstick humor attached to it, with a sweet romance. I like that even the old people get some romance. It has a cute beginning....hey falling out of a tree is a way...I threw up on my husband...and he still asked me out, then marrying me. It can happen.... The characters are believable, although strange and the plot is sweet. Well worth reading.

Having read just about everything she's ever written, Evanovich never fails to delight. I find myself laughing out loud frequently. Never try to read yourself to sleep with an Evanovich book. Even knowing what is probably coming next it isn't about the destination. It's the joy of the journey. Thank you for re issuing these wonderful gems!

Janet Evanovich can not write quick enough for our thrists! So I decided to pick up some of these old pre-Plum titles. Cute, but kinda predictable. Good rainy day, relaxing read.

Interesting book (as are ALL of Janet Evanovich's books). They are always "No put downers." Funny, interesting, easy to follow. Love her books.

The Grand Finale is a fun romantic comedy that I recommend to anyone who loves a good romance novel, but with a great twist of humor to go with it.

Janet Evanovich is one of my favorite author's. I love her wit, imagination, and romance. This book was no disappointment. As usual, she outdid herself again. This was a wonderful read as I enjoy a good laugh with romance thrown in. I recommend this book to anyone.

I really had a good time reading this book. I have come to expect funny and unique. This had it all. I may read other authors, but always am on the lookout for something I haven't read from Evanovich. Can't go wrong with her books. Entertaining. I have gotten several other people started on her works.

I was a little disappointed in the Grand Finale. I love all of Janet Evanovich's books, and this waas the last one I needed to read to finish her loveswept series. All her books are a bit unrealistic, but this one was ridiculous. It's a good read for when you've finished all teh other books on your list.

Ms. Evanovich offers us what she has refined to a fine edge with each successive book. I love to read the vintage romances and always laugh at her way of presenting humor. Great, fast read.

I am an avid Evanovich reader, and have never been unhappy with any of her books. I especially love her Stephanie Plum series (granny is a hoot!). Unfortunately I purchased The Grand Finale in disc version. A mistake. I couldn't get past the first chapter because of the sickeningly sweet syrupy voice of the reader, sounding something akin to a whining thinking-I-have-a-sexy-voice-but-don't-know-I-sound-stupid femme fatale wannabe. This is not against Janet. The book may actually be good, but I think I will wait until I can get it in the library since already spending money on the disc version, now in the trash. Sorry Janet!

This short novel is laugh out loud funny. Jake Sawyer is a first grade teacher, chemist, inventor, and in love with Berry Knudsen, a college student who owns The Pizza Place. On the job delivering pizza, she comes to Jake's house where she finds a kitten stuck in a tree and decides to climb it in order to rescue the kitten. After this her life wll never be the same..first she finds Jake extremely sexy as she sits on a tree limb and watches him remove his clothes from out side his window, her roomates are three old ladies, her apartment above her restaurant catches on fire and forces her to live with Jake..and she finds herself in love with him as well. Through some creative means, he manages to maker her stay with him a little longer.

This is one of those books where I wish I could award 1/2 points. It was a little better than "It was OK" but not fully in the "I liked it" category either. You can definitely tell this is one of Janet's earlier works. It was a quick and easy read and had a few amusing pieces and parts. But things happened too quickly and there's not really much depth to anyone besides the main character, Berry. It's a fun read but you never really care about anyone in the story. It has a little too much going on in that regard.Evanovich fans will recognize some of Janet's tell-tale characteristics though. It's kind of fun to see where she started and the things she always likes to weave into her stories. In that sense I enjoyed the book despite feeling unsatisfied by it overall.

Great book! If you love any of Janet's other books, you will love this one. The characters are always quirky in a way that will give you a good laugh. Definitely a must read. Some of the situations that Berry gets herself into are hilarious.
