Overview

Fred and Nell's grandma is babysitting and the kids couldn't be happier. But hang on, there's something not quite right about her. In fact, she's acting very strangely indeed. And is that a spare eyeball? A tail? A striped tongue? That's NOT their grandma; it's an alien ... RUUUUUUN!

Find out how Fred and Nell overcome the invasion by grandmas from Mars (and get their own grandma back!) in this completely crazy and brilliantly bonkers, fun and irreverent picture book from the talented Michelle Robinson, with illustrations by rising star Fred Blunt.

This eBook comes with a glorious, hilarious audio accompaniment, read by CBeebies star Justin Fletcher.

Fred Blunt never wanted to be an astronaut or drive a train when he grew up. Right from the beginning he knew he wanted to draw silly pictures for a living ... and some decades later he's living the dream! Inspired by Muppets, Quentin Blake and the classic cartoons, Fred has been a compulsive doodler since he was in hand-me-downs. Since graduating from UWE Bristol in 1996, Fred has worked on all manner of projects, including greetings, editorial, advertising, publishing and animation – designing a series of animated spots for the BBC. He now works mostly in children's books, illustrating several titles for Usborne publishing, amongst others. Fred also loves to write and draw his own silly comic strips and is currently writing his first children's book. Interrupted only by tea breaks and a toddler, Fred works from his home studio in Swindon, Wiltshire, where he lives with his wife and two young children.
Michelle Robinson is the bestselling, award-winning author of picture books including The World Made a Rainbow, She Rex, There's a Lion in my Cornflakes, A Beginner's Guide to Bearspotting, Grandmas from Mars, the Goodnight Spaceman series and many, many more. She has won several awards, including the Lollies Laugh Out Loud Book Award, Sainsbury's Children's Book Award, the Stockport Children's Book Award and the North Somerset Teachers' Book awards. She is also the author of funny young fiction inlcluding Do Not Disturb the Dragons and Do Not Mess with the Mermaids.
