As someone learning the grant writing process I found this book to be helpful. Johnson goes into details about the information you should acquire prior to writing and the files you should create once you've submitted your proposal. If there was one item I would have liked it would have been a chapter on terminology. The difference between "staff" and "program costs" isn't something a new grant writer would know. That would have been helpful.

I read through it in a day and reread it so I fully understand how powerful this excellent source of personal knowledge. I strongly feel like an expert in grant writing . Author Victoria Johnson spoke to me and I get her message. One person can make a difference to your small organization, community group, churches, or any organization that is trying to find grant money in these trying times. I enjoyed her ten tactics for writing a compelling proposal. She talks about individual grants, corporate grants, and government grants. I feel you as an individual will be successful in getting a good grant for your needs within 60 days of purchasing this excellent read! I will get back to this review and let the readers know of my success utilizing this excellent must read reference Book.
