The grown-up James family falls into a "doomed majority" damned at the deadly hands of drug abuse and related fatalities. While the elder parents have perished via drinking and smoking, that old combination is so archaic compared to the likes of lethal cocaine and heroin, having visited upon those affected siblings. And a young "fast-ass," too-smart and so-wise-disconnected sire, street-slick hoodlum nephew succumbs to-an old, risky hustle stepped up to accommodate-the desperate times. The marked family is plagued by its own inner destruction that may have started way back in (so many cases) the innocence of childhood. Then there is always that freedom of choice to consider: which poison to take and how much and for how long to take it. To an MSA (multiple substance abuser), it is always just a matter of time. Each passes-on his or her own terms.
