Krug offers a young audience an accessible history of the legal deconstruction of segregation through the life of our nation's first African-American Supreme Court Justice. She draws a compelling human portrait of a giant in American jurisprudence.
This is an excellent book. It's interesting to read and doesn't dwell on too much personal detail, but instead gives a rich description of the man in the context of his times.
