When a bitter argument between Annie and her reclusive neighbor ends in his mysterious death, she can’t be sure if her troubles are over or just beginning. Her guests at the Rosewood Place Inn aren’t making matters any easier. She soon finds herself playing mother hen to a distraught single mom with a shadowy past and making friendly small talk with a handsome country music songwriter, much to Rory’s dismay.
Of course, death always brings out the vultures, and as the dead man’s relatives swoop in to lay claim to his property, Annie can’t help but wonder if one of them wanted the land badly enough to kill for it. Could a murderer be moving in next door to Rosewood Place? And can Annie figure out what really happened before it’s too late to keep her own family safe?
About the Author
Ruby Blaylock grew up in a small, southern town surrounded by colorful characters and lots of food. She loves a good helping of gossip and great food, not necessarily in that order. She is a country girl at heart and can often be found sitting on the back porch, sipping sweet tea and watching her fat hound dogs chase bugs.
If she's not reading a book, she's writing one, or reading one to her kids, who can always help her think up new ways to kill off annoying characters.
