After reading Hunger Games I went in search of more books by Suzanne Collins and found the Gregor series. I read them all, one after another. Though the series is probably considered for teens...I loved them and was sad when I finished the last book. Great fantasy and interesting "underland" characters!

i absolutely loved the first book! but this.. this is twice as good.Once again, here is my summary of this wonderful book. Gregor is finally home after his latest trip to Regalia. Thinking there cant possibly be anymore quests..... .............Gregor is right! Later, Gregor finally recieves a letter from Vikus, but instead of Luxa and the oters whereabouts, it is a plea for help.Gregor must attend to a meeting about a terrible plague that is spreading like wildfire all over the Underland. But instead of it being just a meeting as promised, it turns out to be a life threatining quest for them to find the cure themselves. Follow along with Gregor and the other members of the crew while he fufills yet another prophecy. Really good book -Kira C.

Suzanne Collins is GREAT. I have read all the Overlander books and all the Hunger Games series. I enjoyed them so much. That I'm hesitating to read the adult book/s she wrote. I love to read I am 66 y/o grandmother of 4 and I'm buying these books for them to read in the future as they are too young to appreciate them now.

An epidemic has hit the Underland. A plague is killing off every warmblood there. Gregor again has been told that he must help save everyone. Again there is a prophecy. Gregor wants nothing more than to avoid anything to with the Underland. He is tricked and now his mother has been dragged into the Underland, leaving his father, his one sister and his grandmother in the Overland. It is a great story with lots of action, great dialogue and surprises every page.

Just the title should tell you that there's an epic fantasy adventure between the covers of this book. I LOVE this series, and book #3 didn't disappoint. If you've read and loved the other books in this series, this is a must-read.

I wasn't sure that Suzanne Collins could exceed the quality of the first book in the series, but I'm happy to say this third book in the Underland Chronicles series is the best yet. Full of action in an eerie jungle-type setting, this is the point where the series truly makes a big turn in its evolution allowing the villains to look less so as we begin to see the Underland through their eyes. It does get a big preachy with what appears to be an anti-war message, though, it may be best to say it may be certain types of wars and war strategies that Collins is arguing against (in this case biological warfare.) Still, even with the excessive preachiness, it does little to take away from this incredible book in an incredible series. To say the least, I'm hooked. Credit also goes to August Hall for exceptional cover art. 4.5/5

As a retired teacher I volunteer in the library at my local elementary school. I read lots of lots of books so I will know what to recommend to catch someone's interest and reinforce a lifelong love for reading. This series is a favorite. The fast action fantasy makes you want to keep reading non-stop and then go look for more.

We started reading these books during ready aloud to your child week. My 7 year old son won it somewhere but its a little challenging for him. He can read it but the length is overwhelming. My husband and I read aloud to the kids at bedtime every night now. The series is amazing this book is the 3rd and I recommend starting at book one. All of us hate to stop because the books are so fast paced you are always stopping at an exciting moment. The books remind me of several other popular series. The author has taken the time to create and entire world with different creatures and a rich history. She slowly reveals the history and information as the books unfold.

Gregor and the Curse of the Warmbloods features perhaps the most mature theme of this series, The Underland Crhonicles: the exploration of the morality of biological warfare. Moving new characters, such as Hazard and his father, elevate this story from light and carefree to serious and weighty. In addition to being an enjoyable, entrancing tale, this book also offers much age-appropriate social commentary to consider.

The third book in the Underland Chronicles is one of the better ones so far in this series.Gregor is called back down to the Underland when a horrible plague breaks out among the Underlanders. Upon arrival in the Underland Gregor finds himself swept up in yet another prophecy; The Prophecy of the Blood. Can Gregor and others find the cure for the plague in time? Or will all of the warmbloods be destroyed? This was a quick read and a fast-paced novel. I continually find the presence of Boots as the two-year-old Princess of the crawlers (as I have a two year old son, I find that Boots' character is spot on). Gregor grows quite a bit as a character in this novel as do the people he travels with. There is a lot to wrench your heart in this novel and a lot of hope too. All of my favorite characters rejoined and it was nice to see Gregor's mom play a larger role in this book. There is also a ton of action and some great new characters that make an entrance.I thought this was a really good book in this series. It made me really look forward to the next book in the series. I also think when my son gets a bit older these would be great books for us to read together.

Loved this series, each book was better then the last and I hope that she writes more. Gregor is quite amazing for how young he is, but he has had to be the man of the house for quite sometime. Great series for any age.
