This is a good quick read. And to me reads more of an introduction to the series/serial. I'm not a fan of serials, as most end with big cliff hangers, and to few pages. But this short (less than 50 pages). Was not a bad read at all. You don't get any depth with Red and not sure when the series starts if will get any further info. Grim, you already know he is going to be the antihero, you get a little glimpse of the man he is. And hopefully, more complete feedback in the next first book of a series.

This is a gritty, raw, crassly realistic book. It is either the superlative stereotype of bikers or the most realistic bad-boy biker book you will read. While the author describes the main character, Grim, as a hot alpha male, I would describe the characters in this book as quake-in-your-boots-and-pray-you-never-meet-in-a-dark-alley types. I found the plot compelling, but a bit edgy for me. I didn't care for any of the characters, but I got how realistic they were being portrayed. I have to say that the author's depiction of the characters and biker lifestyle was amazingly well done. Good writing, just not my thing. Four stars for character depiction, and overall a three -star book. ***Review has been done in conjunction with Nerd Girl Official.
