As always, Hearne delivers a fast-paced, suspense and humor filled tale. Hearne's sense of humor is just the right amount lighthearted and dark sarcasm. The Roman gods are well done, and equal parts amusing and frightening. Especially Bast. Well worth the read!

I just love this whole series. This was not as well developed as the actual novels but a nice snack.

Keven Hearne is one of the better up-and-coming authors out there. His Iron Druid books are all well worth the time and money involved in reading them, and this novella is a great, short sampler of why. His writing is sharp, his characters diverse, and his plot lines imaginative. This novella is cheaply priced, but is worth every penny -- sample his great work here before buying the rest of the series. Which I know you will, as this book will leave you wanting more.
