About the Author
Dr. Rocco was born in Tirupati, South India. She was six years old when she moved to the United States with her parents, brother and sister. She grew up in Michigan, fully enjoying and loving the great outdoors. Dr. Rocco is passionate about incorporating eastern culture and medicine with her practice of western medicine, infusing it into her practice to heal her patients, loved ones, and herself.
Dr. Gowri is also committed to her family's philanthropic missionary work - building a hospital in southern India- which her father started in honor of her sister Padma Reddy. This hospital, the Sri Venkateswara Psychiatric Foundation, nested within the family ashram, provides free mental health services to the needy and poverty-stricken.
