Could it be the Big Bad Mouse after all?

This is definitely one of our favorites, right up there with Where The Wild Things Are. I'm not sure why more people don't know this book, but everyone should! I have three children, and so we have been reading it for years. I have given it to every one of their pre-school classes as well, and teachers are still reading it long after we have been gone! It is a bit better if you read The Gruffalo first, but in truth this is the better book of the set. The DVD is wonderful too!

Get them all if you can. Julia Donaldson is a treasure. Love the board book version we purchased in England too.

"The Gruffalo's Child" is written in an aabb rhyme scheme which provides the pulse of the story. It is an engaging puzzle for young minds to sort out as Gruffalo's child discovers new forest friends during his quest for the Big Bad Mouse.

Gruffalo's Child is an amazing sequel to The Gruffalo and my son loves it just as much as the original. The rhyming story flows as I read it and keeps my son interested as we flip the pages. I absolutely love all of Julia Donaldson's books so there is no surprise that this one is a keeper and one to be read over and over.
