4.5 Stars Guarding Hearts is the 3rd book in author L.L. Collins Living Again series and is my favorite story so far.  I did like Living Again and Reaching Rachel but the stories were so intense I felt emotionally drained at the end.  But Guarding Hearts is a romance mixed with mystery and action that was really exciting. I was really impressed with how the author dropped little clues in the story that made me suspect EVERYONE and I was shocked to find out who Sammi’s stalker was.  I really loved the characters Ellis and Sammi.  Both are dealing with heartaches from their past which was realistic and easy for readers to identify with.  Ellis was a tough guy because of his childhood. He slowly breaks down the wall he built to protect himself from getting hurt. And once that wall comes down he becomes so romantic (there were some great swoon worthy scenes!).  Sammi is the Country music star who is adorable and sweet.  She is dealing with a stalker and controlling parents, so it is good to see her put her foot down and make her own decisions. My only complaint is that the story did drag after the stalker is revealed.  I did like the closure of Ellis story but for me it took too long to get to the end.  I think it would have been better if some of the scenes at the end had been omitted.  But despite that I still did like this story.  I am looking forward to reading her next book.

LL Collins did an amazing job! Ellis and Sammy are such amazing characters and easy to connect with. Just like Ben and Devin...Ellis is perfect book boyfriend material and Sammy is his perfect match. These two have their share of personal issues and without the other they may not have gotten past them if not for the love and support of the other person. This book made me laugh, cry and what to throw my kindle at times but every page with worth the frustration!
