Captain Frankie Moriarty is an ace rescue pilot -- a hundred pounds of redheaded dynamite answering mayday calls along the northern Pacific coast with her elite Coast Guard helicopter crew. As the commanding officer, she has a reputation to uphold and it's one that doesn't include getting involved with her coworkers.

Gage Adams is not your typical pretty boy. The team's co-pilot and former pararescueman has seen battle and lived to lose sleep over it. For four years he has worked alongside Frankie, treating her with respect, viewing her as a sister...
Tonight, everything between them will change forever...

I bought this book based on an earlier book 'cover' and thought it would kind of be like a day in the life of a USCG station. Well, it sort of was, but mostly it wasn't. I don't know where the author got her information about the Coast Guard from, but there was too much of it that didn't seem very likely. Too many incidents where they just went right back to work. Sexual encounters while AT work and the rest of the crew accepting it and even pushing them together? I hope anyone who reads this doesn't think it's an accurate depiction of what really goes on in the Coast Guard. The only good thing I can say is that the author does know how to write and is a good storyteller.

Francesca "Frankie" Moriarty loves being a pilot in the Coast Guard. She loves taking the risks and she loves flying. Things get embarrassing for her when her all male crew finds out she has never had an orgasm and they take it upon themselves to correct the problem. Gage Adams, Frankie's co-pilot, has wanted her ever since they started working together. But now that he knows her secret, he wants to be the one to show her true pleasure. But his last relationship makes him wary of starting anything with her. Their duties as members of the Coast Guard sometimes put them in dangerous situations. They are attracted to each other and it escalates into a week of full blown passion. When one of the rescues ends up being a trap and Frankie's life is in danger, Gage lets his rage take over to protect her. But will it be too much for her to handle, Gage wanting to protect her always? I loved this story. The situations they are forced into, the danger they face are exhilarating. Ms. Gail has done the research into the day to day life of a Coast Guard team and it comes through loud and clear. This is an excellent tribute to one of the armed services that usually does not get much attention. We are shown the way a team works together and how they live their daily lives being on call and weathering their job. This also shows how stressful this type of work can be on family and friends and those who are rescued. I am proud to say that I will tell my friends that this is one book that has made a definite hit on my reader list, and it is one that should not be passed by. Liadan Reviewer for Coffee Time Romance
