Margaret Martin grew up in a small town in Central Texas. She earned two Associate Degrees for Mental Health and Youth Counseling. She then earned her Bachelors Degree in Psychology and her Masters Degree in Counseling Psychology. Upon graduation, she began her internship to pursue her license as a "Professional Counselor". She gained experience as a Crisis Intervention Caseworker, a Geriatric Counselor (Intern), administered psychological assessments, joined Tarleton State University as adjunct professor, and co-wrote a book. She currently resides in China Spring, Texas and is practicing as a Pain Management Counselor.
Merissa Joy Orion grew up in The Great Northwest, and developed her desire to help others early. She spent the '98-99' school year on the mission-field overseas, working as a teacher to the children of immigrant workers from Africa in Italy. From there Merissa joined the United States Army as a Chaplain Assistant. After the service she earned her Bachelors of Science in Social Psychology, joined forces with Maggie Martin, and in 2007 Vita Cognovi, LLC was born. Merissa currently resides in Killeen, Texas and works in the public school system while continuing to study, work and write.
