We have bought this for our grandson for several years. He loves to read about new records and shares about them at school and at home. He makes sure when the new one is out to let us know.

This book has all the old favorites (the unbreakable feats) and many new ones that were never heard of. It makes you want to run out and break a record. Lots of pictures and an overload of information and knowledge.

This books has a ton of fun things to look at and really does cover all the bases of the different records that have been set. The only thing is that some of the records are on the bottom of the pages and have nothing to do with the other records on the pages. The glossary can be hard to decipher. If you want to learn about all the weird things people have done it is a great book but if you are looking for a record to break I would look elsewhere. The Guinness World Record website is also very hard to navigate and find concrete things on records.

My children (11-16) love this book! We buy one every year. We leave it on the end table because guests (of all ages) love picking it up and reading it, too. It may not be my "cup of tea", but we found that keeping books and magazines around that the kids are interested in encourages leisurely reading and starts conversations. We like for them to have fun reading opportunities during these days of non-stop texting and research papers!

8 yr old birthday boy grandson and his 45 yr old father and his 70 yr old grandfather all devoured this book. No female got to look at the book since each of the males was so enthralled. When his grandmom bought it, she had about 5 minutes to look it over...A PERFECT GIFT FOR THE WHOLE FAMILY...THO INTENDED ONLY FOR THE 8 YR OLD GRANDSON!!!!

Every year I give this book to my boys as a Christmas present. They're teens now and I wondered if they wanted me to stop, but they look forward to getting it every year--it's part of the Christmas tradition. This year's editon did not disappoint.

I started a Christmas tradition when I began purchasing the Guiness World Records books in 2000 as a gift for my son, however we all read it and are always curious about it's contents.

My son has wanted a GWR book for years. I couldn't wait to get the 2010 for him for Christmas. He reads it at bed-time, takes it to school and it's something we all enjoy reading. I love the bright color, so it's easy to spot in his sometimes messy room. The pictures are great.

This book is a regular every year for my two sons (now grown men) and Christmas wouldn't be the same without it. I did think that buying it each year would be boring, but it is totally updated and always new material in it, so is well researched and always interesting.

Buying gifts for tweens can be a real challenge, especially if you don't know what they like or already own, but the Guinness World Records book appeals to every one. Highly recommended.
