Overview

Arley Copeland vows never to trust anyone, much less a man, ever again. After her fledgling career as a romance writer grinds to a halt and her ex blabs to the press about her preferences in bed, she heads to Gypsy Beach desperate to regain some anonymity and maybe figure out what to do next.

Divorce attorney John Rowan has been in on the explosive end of more marriages than he can count. Love never lasts. Of that he's certain. Sick of barely existing inside the concrete jungle of Atlanta with the endless traffic and endless noise he heads towards a two-week reprieve in Gypsy Beach, North Carolina.

From the moment he lays eyes on Arley Copeland, John is determined to prove that not every guy on the planet is out to hurt her, and maybe teach her a thing or two about herself in his bed and out. With every sinfully sweet caress, they're falling more and more in love. Their pasts may be fading away, but will John ever be prepared to risk it all on a lifetime love when he doesn't believe such a thing could ever exist?

Welcome back to Gypsy Beach, a place where the magic of two souls entwine with passion, romance and a lot of heat! Arley is on the run from disappointment, hurt and a family who discounts all she has accomplished as a romance writer as shameful. John is a divorce attorney, so his opinion of a never-ending love is that it does not exist and his clientele are his proof. Fate or Gypsy magic brings them together on Gypsy Beach, and the rest is passionate history in the making. Jillian Neal’s Gypsy Love once again brings two people together with passion and heat, as one man finds the one woman he wants to protect and cherish, while discovering the secrets of her body, mind and soul. Ms. Neal brings the sand, the beach and her characters to life in her signature way. Some authors gently turn up the heat, but “Signature Jillian” cranks it up to high and lets events boil over, completely, kind of like a volcano giving in to the pressure! Never expect tame passion from Ms. Neal, it is not her style, expect her hero to take charge in all ways from his verbal endearments to his passionate appetites. What else can her heroines do but go along, giving their won “lessons?” I will say the dialogue between the sheets is reminiscent of other works by Ms. Neal and my mind did wander to other scenes in another series. But they say love is the universal language, so why wouldn’t terms of passion be, too? I received this copy from Jillian Neal in exchange for my honest review.

At first, the way John talked seemed a little over-the-top but the more I got to know him, it was his vibrant personality shining through. He's so charming and real. He's a master with the dirty talk and then following through with it in the bedroom. I think I'm in love! Arley and John hit it off from the start. They were both staying in Gypsy Beach at Ryan and Sienna's B&B. Arley has been smothered by everyone in her family but her deceased father. They are all ashamed of her and call her sinful and worse. All because she's an erotic romance author. She has mega self-esteem issues and he has some pretty huge issues himself. Can Gypsy magic stick with them as they leave Gypsy Beach or does the magic stick to the shores? Fantastic! I couldn't put it down. Great characters and even greater Gypsy lore. I can't wait to read more of this amazing Gypsy Beach series. I was not compensated for my review. I was not required to write a positive review. The opinion expressed is my own.

You’ll like this book if: Gypsy Beach (#1) pulled you in, and you’ve been dreaming of more Gypsy magic ever since! (Gypsy Love can also be read as a standalone, but is even more enjoyable having read the first installment beforehand.) THE STORY: Arley Copeland’s life is in shambles. Her writing career is flailing, her personal relationships have crumbled, and her hometown has turned their backs on her. Needing an escape, Arley decides on a road trip to Gypsy Beach, and a stay at the local Gypsy Inn. (Run by none other than Sienna and Ryan from Gypsy Beach #1!!!! Yay!) Also arriving for a stay at the Inn is jaded divorce lawyer John Rowan. Even though neither guest is looking for a commitment, the sparks start to fly, immediately and undeniably, between these two souls. Looks like Gypsy magic has struck again! MY THOUGHTS: I can’t even tell you how many people ask me for a good summer book to get lost in. I LOVE it when I have an answer to knock their socks off- even more so, when it’s a delicious SERIES of books to keep us charged up all summer! The Gypsy Beach series by amazing Jillian Neal is exactly that- it’s steamy HOT, heartwarmingly romantic, and full of spunk. I can’t get enough. I’m slightly obsessed, actually. I’ve even changed up my wardrobe this summer to a free-flowing, sassy Gypsy style. I know. But what can I say? These books are just THAT much fun. Alright, now lets delve in deeper. A few pages into the book, an I’m already met with this very truthful and spot- on, simple quote. “The potency of fiction was awe- inspiring.” Such a modest statement, yet so exceedingly accurate! Think about it. A solid book’s power to pull the reader in and transport us to another world is intoxicatingly potent… unparalleled, even. And the absolute reality for this Gypsy series. Not many books conquer this feat, us true blue readers can testify. But the ones that do, literally rock us. That, is exactly how I feel after reading Gypsy Love. While totally romantic, hot, erotic, and naughty…. there’s something much more important at the heart of this lovely story. Something we’ve all dealt with in one way or another, the one thing that should NOT continually be disregarded by so many. Acceptance. Loving one another despite our differences, and showing not just tolerance but TRUE heart- felt love to each and every person on this earth. Race, background, religion, or in Arley’s case, career, none of it matters. Loving our neighbor, our community, a complete stranger for that matter- this is what matters folks. Acceptance and love is the tie that binds. Thankfully in this story, we got to witness Arley’s brokenness be overcome, and for her to rise above and flourish, even. So beautiful. And so well written into the storyline. As you can tell from my above sentiments, the character development in this book is so completely thorough, we have the opportunity to really get inside these individual personas, and actually feel them. This is such an important experience for the reader, to feel the person and the book come to life and explode from the pages. Also provided was stunning imagery for their surroundings, which only heightened the feel of the overall book. It allowed John and Arley to be front and center (first and foremost!), yet also provided an exciting backdrop for the story to unfold. It just doesn’t get any better than this!

Jillian Neal has written another emotional read. Gypsy Love is the story of two people who are coming to terms with past mistakes and bad decisions and looking for a place to heal. Letting go pain, regrets and betrayals does not prove to be an easy task. Yet in Gypsy Beach, North Carolina anything is possible even falling in love. Arley and John seemed like total opposites but weren't that different. They were both seeking redemption, peace of mind, happiness and a place to call home. Have enjoyed Gypsy Beach and Gypsy Love. I received an ARC of Gypsy love for an honest review.
