Astrid Amara, whose adventurous life includes once falling in a manhole, a flirtation with non-consensual cannibalism, and a penchant for sleeping, has lived all over the place, including Bukhara, Uzbekistan; Maidenhead, England; and Jerusalem, Israel. However she’s permanently settled in Bellingham, Washington, because the rain does wonders for her complexion. When she’s not writing she’s either walking her geriatric dogs, riding her mischievous Arabian gelding, or pretending to be a civil servant. Half Pass is Amara’s ninth published novel.
