Purpose: Currently, there is a wealth of information pertaining to biomarkers, yet there is not a source that consolidates the existing literature into a single reference. This handbook meets this need by providing a detailed guide to different biomarkers and their roles in predicting and diagnosing various diseases.
Audience: This will be an effective resource for individuals participating in both basic research and clinical applications relating to biomarkers, as well as those involved in drug discovery/development processes. The author has published numerous articles on the topics addressed in this book, including, but not limited to, personalized medicine, oncoproteomics, and state-of-the-art diagnostic technologies.
Features: The handbook uses a very effective approach to consolidate the vast amount of literature on biomarkers, presenting it first on the basis of the technologies used in the discovery of various biomarkers and second on the basis of biomarker relevance to healthcare.
