Miley Stewart is a normal American girl, but when she dresses up and puts on her wig, she becomes pop star Hannah Montana. Hannah Montana is Miley’s alter ego. This way Miley can live the life of an ordinary girl without her pop star fame getting in the way. Lily and Miley are best friends, until the day when Lily doesn’t pick Miley for her soccer team at school. Miley is hurt that Lily didn’t choose her, even though she isn’t a very good soccer player. The two have a major falling out. When Oliver gets enough of their fighting, he handcuffs the girls together. Can Miley and Lily make-up before Miley has to make an appearance as Hannah Montana? My step-daughter is a Hannah Montana fan. I, personally, have not seen many of the Hannah Montana episodes. This book is actually two separate Hannah Montana stories. There are also images from the Disney show episodes that correspond with the stories. Each story is humorous, appropriate for the target age group. Though not everything in this book is realistic for the average American girl, some of the topics addressed are realistic. Miley and her friends have to face these problems. Though it is highly unlikely your little girl will end up handcuffed to her best friend right before a television appearance, they do discuss the importance of friendship and forgiveness. Ultimately, I found this book to be a decent humorous book for young girls and teens. I have not heard back from Disney Press about using the cover artwork next to this review, however the goodreads link should take you to a summary page of the book that includes a picture of the cover.

The book Hannah Montana True Blue by Michael Poyres is about two girls that start a fight because Lily did not pick Miley for her gym partner for gym class. This Book is fun, sad, and happy. I like about the story that her Dad said "Wake up or I am going to get the bucket with water." I dislike that Rico was in Miley's class because he bothers too much and teases her. My favorite characters were Lily, Jackson, and Miley. I recommend it to all the girls that love Hannah Montana!
