Happenstance by Annie Miller

In different languages, Happenstance means, fate, destiny or kismit.
For Olivia & Mike, it means a second change at love. This time, however would fate interfere again?

Olivia loved Michael O’Malley her whole life, but when she heard he was presumed dead, while fighting in Vietnam, she allowed herself to be consoled by a stranger in town. Three months later, she found out she was pregnant by a man she didn’t even know and worse yet, Mickey was returning from Vietnam.

Mike was heart broken when Olivia married another man, and had his child. He tried to forget her but she was always in my mind and heart. He did eventually settle down and marry another woman, but never gave her his whole heart. Together they had 2 boys.

Twenty years later, Mikey and Olivia are at the same place at the same time. Happenstance! Yet their love for each other wouldn’t allow them to their leave their respective mates.

Were they destined to remain apart, forever, or would there ever be a chance to enjoy the love they have always shared.

About the Author

I have been writing for as long as I can remember. My love of books and reading started at an early age. Life took control and I never published my books, until now. I am happily married to my best friend and have 2 amazing daughters and 1 awesome grandson. My books contain no inappropriate language or sexual explicit scenes. It's something that young or older adults will enjoy and not worry if it gets picked up by someone else. I believe it's all about the storyline and character development and not the extreme use of bad language. Romance should be developed in the readers mind, not on the printed page.

I really enjoyed reading this book and then to find out at the end that it was part one of several other stories made me happy because I really liked the characters. Olivia is relatable and tragedy that Mickey had was believable and made me cry. I was cheering them on from page one.
