Overview

Happy Holidays? by Lorraine Bartlett

The best thing about the holiday season is spending time with family. At the same time, sometimes the worst thing about the holiday season is spending time with family. The stories in this collection touch on that and more as Mandy Nichols, Jeff Resnick, and Judi Straub struggle through what's supposed to be the joyous season. One family contemplates murder; another wants to end what they see as a bad relationship, while another can only see their loved one for what she can do for them. Sound familiar?

Happy Holidays? puts the Christmas fun into dysfunction!

BONUS MATERIAL: Includes holiday cookie recipes from Judi, Mandy, and Maggie.

About the Author

The immensely popular Booktown Mystery series is what put Lorraine Bartlett’s pen name Lorna Barrett on the New York Times Bestseller list, but it’s her talent -- whether writing as Lorna, or L.L. Bartlett, or Lorraine Bartlett -- that keeps her there. This multi-published, Agatha-nominated author pens the exciting Jeff Resnick Mysteries as well as the acclaimed Victoria Square and Lotus Bay Mystery series, and now the Tales of Telenia fantasy saga, and has many short stories and novellas to her name(s).

This volume combines three of Ms. Bartlett's previously released short stories, one of which features her main character Jeff Resnick. In "We're So Sorry, Uncle Albert" we get a tale about families and inheritances worthy of Hitchcock; "Blue Christmas" tells the story of hopes and dreams and the promise of happily ever after...maybe; and finally "Bah Humbug" takes Jeff to meet his girlfriend's family at Christmas but will it be a Merry Christmas for all. These are three short and entertaining tales to pass one's time with a flavor of the holiday season.
