About the Author

Megan McCoy lives in the heartland of America, surrounded by corn, soybean fields, country music and hot guys on tractors. At home, she’s raising kids, breeding Chinese Cresteds and poodles and training them all with a tender hand and heart, while saving her sternness for the alpha males in her books.

Getting up at three in the morning to write leaves her time for a few hobbies - gardening, canning, bike riding, bread baking, taking in strays and seeking her own alpha male.

This book does start out by jumping right in to the story, but I didn't find the back and forth dialog or writing to be confusing, but more to show how confused Miki was feeling! I loved the story, I love the surprise, (which I won't give away), and let's just say I love it when you really do get what you wish for!!

Miki breaks up with Cole because he's too "vanilla" for her. However, she is still in love with him. She seeks out Mentor John to give her what she needs, and ends up with everything she wants! This story was fun to read.

At first, the back and forth jumping from being with Cole to looking for Mentor John had me so confused,I didn't realize it was corresponding to Miki's feelings. She wanted Cole and was happy with him except for the one thing she was too scared to tell him she needed. She decides the help of Mentor John is needed to get her back on track...but the truth always comes out!

At first while reading Hard Wired Desires, my feelings were mixed about whether I liked it or not. The author accurately showed the confusion Miki was feeling in the first few pages and I felt confused and viewed the writing as choppy. However, as I read further I realized that I adored this book. As the writing became more focused along with Miki's feelings, I could not put the book down. I loved the surprising twists in Cole and Miki's story. Cole's dominant side drew me in and made me feel the emotions that Miki went through during their time together. Overall I enjoyed this book and recommend reading this book to anyone who can understand miscommunication between couples or to those who love a good spanking story. I hope you enjoy this book as much as I did.
