About the Author

Shirleen Davies grew up in Southern California. She attended Oregon State University, and has degrees from San Diego State University and the University of Maryland. During the day she provides consulting services to small and mid-sized businesses. But her real passion is writing emotionally charged stories of flawed people who find redemption through love and acceptance. She now lives with her husband in a beautiful town in northern Arizona.

Shirleen began her new series, MacLarens of Fire Mountain, with Tougher than the Rest, the story of the oldest brother, Niall MacLaren. Books two and three in the series, Faster than the Rest and Harder than the Rest,Book four, Stronger than the Rest, is due for release in early 2014.

Have read all the books in this series and there is something for everybody in all of them... Excellent characters, realistic story lines and a small town most of us would like to live in... Loved the tough/strong female characters in all of the books and will read more if Ms. Davies continues the series.

A bit of the same in each book not able to continue with the series since Barnes & Noble does not carry the remainder of the books Disappointing ! which I find has happened with other series I have started
