Harold's End based on 0 ratings. 2 reviews.
This book is a definite shocker. The author's style draws you into his story. The illustrations seem to capture the emotions of the characters (sadness and despair). If you're looking for a happy ending or a solution to the characters situation you won't find one in this story.
As evinced by this tiny (utterly tiny) novella, Leroy seems to enjoy mulling on the depravity of drug dealers and stereotypical 'inner city' teens. I found the story somewhat compelling, but it's brevity really held it from making a lasting impact on me; the limited series of events described in Harold's End could easily have been an insightful spark in a longer, deeper work. Still, the hardcover edition is worth owning even if only for Cherry Hood's incredible watercolor illustrations.
