Murder at the Baja California Film Festival

Canadian Expats Judy and Bradley are thrilled to attend the upcoming Baja Film Festival in Cabo San Lucas.  Living in quiet, nearby La Paz, they grab all the excitement they can get, especially now that they've retired.

Days before the festival, La Paz is struck with a most bizarre murder.  Something had floated on to the Marina Neptunia where Judy and Bradley live on their yacht.  It was a man on a surfboard, harpooned with a flagpole bearing the flag of Albania.

Just hours before, the victim was partying on a Costa Rican super yacht.  As the investigation progresses, they unveil a complex criminal enterprise that stretches all the way to the Middle East.

Dressed to the nines at the festival,  Judy and best friend, Ruby corner and electrocute the suspect, Daniel.  Unfortunately, he escapes.

Meanwhile, librarian Chabela O'Riley, tries to put the pieces of this puzzle together.  Inadvertently, she stumbles upon an Aztec Codex that awakens Goddess Xytlia.  Will La Paz ever be the same quiet town again?
