Until i read Harry Potter, I was read only one kind of book, horror. I always refused to read anything else. Theses books helped me to grow as a reader. Now, after reading Harry, my new favorite of books are Harry Potter!

I personnally love this series. I think it is appropriate for my age group and all my friends agree too. I think that children under certain ages should have their parents read some parts of book four to them to make sure they do not get scared, but over all I find these books appropriate for children age 10 and over. But like in Chapter 1 and the few last chapters of book 4, they are pretty scary for those parents who are thinking of buying their kids these books.

If you answered that question: 'I wouldn't', I strongly suggest you reconsider. These books are beyond outstanding. I am constantly on the edge of my seat, and, you can ask my family, I've nevr been able to put a Harry Potter book down when reading it for the first time. The characters are so well described, I feel like they have been my friends for a long time even after reading only the first book. Anybody who has not read these books should go out and buy them NOW!!! They are wonderful!
