I remember this when I was in Kindergarten. I'm eleven now, and its still great! Some of the things you can do for the Nook 'Read & Play' is that you put spots on a page, pop bubbles, play 'tag' with Harry, and a few more. Also, you can press Harry, and he'll do some sort of animation.

The book is absolutely charming. My 3yr. old loves it. The voice reading the book is great, and the interaction for the child within the book makes it really fun. I wish they were all this great. Definitely worth the money. Keeps him entertained!

My daughters loved the Harry the Dirty Dog series so I was happy to see it offered as a read and play book for their Nooks. The story is exactly the same as the hard copy book. A few of the interactive features are cute, like when Harry digs in the dirt for his brush and when he slides down the coal shoot. Most, however, are dull. If you are looking for the interactive features, I would suggest the Sandra Boynton apps and the Laurie Berkner book. If you are looking for children's classic with a few cute features, though, I would recommend.

Probably my very favorite book back in pre-school. Doesn't make adults want to stick their head into a blender either.... Love it!

This wonderful book is a classic. Harry doesn't want to take a bath and runs away. He has a great time but misses home. When he arrives, they don't recognize the dirty dog he has become. I teach kindergarten and the children always love this book.

One of my favorites from childhood. My granddaughter loves the interactive play. Some books have audio that can be difficult to hear, this one has clear, concise sound. A great addition to a child's library!

The 2 1/2 to 6-year age group will love it, and even older children will enjoy the interaction feature. As an adult, one can appreciate entertaining children and smile at the "Dirty Harry" reference.

A dog decides to have an adventure around the neighborhood instead of getting bathed. He gets very dirty playing around the city and when he comes home his family doesn't recognize him. He decides he wants a bath so they will know it is him. I love this book for students or anyone with a dog because it is written from the dog's point of view which is humorous. Plus it is an easy read for young students.

Book Summary: This is a story about a dog that does not like to get baths. One day the dog, Harry, decides to bury the scrubbing brush and run away from home. While away he plays and becomes so dirty that he is then a black dog with white spots instead a white dog with black spots. Once Harry decides to return home his family does not recognize him. Therefore, he uses many techniques to try to help them realize who he is under all the dirt. Content Summary: This books can be used to discuss many topics with children. It is great for showing children how humans and animals have the same needs. Also, it can be used to show children why running away from the fears, like Harry running away from a bath, is not the way they should handle things. Last, it can be used in reading to work on students' comprehension and vocabulary.

This book is a family oriented book about a dog named Harry and the adventures that he goes on when he is not at home. Harry becomes a very dirty dog and when his family tried to look for him they don't even know when harry comes home because a dog who was once white with black spots became a dog that was black with white spots!! He has to show the family who he is!! This is a cute book and there are other Harry the dog books to check out.

Harry Hates taking baths and so he buries his scrub brush and runs away. He has many filthy adventures and turns from a white dog with black spots to a black dog with white spots. when he gets home he can't do anything to get his family to recognize him, until he jumps in the bath. Now Harry loves baths.Children's Picture BookThis book is a gem, I love it when he tries to convince his family it's him. He flip flops and he flop flips, he roles over and he plays dead. He danced and he sings. It's so funny. This classic is great in the classroom, especially when I told my first graders it's the only way I ever learned to take a bath.

I had to re-read this book because I remembered it from when I was very young. This is a cute book about a white dog with black spots who doesn't want a bath so he runs away. He gets into a coal shute and turns into a black dog with white spots. He makes it back home and allows his family to bathe him and falls sound asleep, happy to be home. I think this is a great story for really young kids. It's a fun story with great illustrations. It's also a good book for kids to read to kids. I remember reading it to my younger sister when I was learning to read. It's an old favorite that I definitely would include in my library.
