Outside of Titan Group, there are few people that Roman Hart would die for. He's a soldier, a protector, and he's haunted that one of the people he should've been able to protect didn't let him. That was years ago, and now a hardened heart and a cocky attitude are his impenetrable shields, until one woman-one challenge-drives him to distraction.

On the outside, Beth Tourne has it all. Luxury car, gorgeous condo, and a job partying with the rich and famous. It's a plush CIA cover, but she wants more. Anything for an adrenaline rush that can override her guilty numbness and let her forget the tragedy she never saw coming.

Their scars make them perfect operatives. Their mirrored pasts give them deep, wounded reasons to stay alone. But the more they ignore the tension, the more vulnerable they become. Survival means trust. In one another, behind closed doors, and on the job. The only way they're making it out alive is if they find peace while waging a war.

Again! I don’t even know what to say right now. Gahh! I LOVE the Titians! If you’re reading this review and you haven’t read the series yet, then you need to stop reading and go buy the first Titan, Winter’s Heat, FREE on Amazon. You will not be disappointed. Although Garrison’s Creed… or Cash and Nicola’s story is my ALL TIME FAVORITE TITAN, this one is a very close 2nd. Beth and Roman are a little crazy and smokin’ hot. Gushing time! Chemistry, characters, sex and story! Heart Attack is excellent on all levels. Roman and Beth have palpable chemistry. They both know it and can feel it but Beth is apprehensive in dealing with it. Neither one is looking for a commitment… but maybe if they can scratch an itch, then they can move on. Roman and Beth have both been through some serious trauma with people they love. This story works through the hurt with them and they both need to face their daemons. The sex is SO HOT! Let me try to explain. Ahem. Okay… so you know that feeling you get when you've been crushing on a guy really hard and he all the sudden starts talking to you? Yes, it’s the butterflies in your tummy kind of feeling. Then, you know that feeling you get when your boyfriend/husband whispers dirty things in your ear and tells you exactly what he’s going to do with you as soon as he can get you naked? Then he takes you up against the wall in the most savage and porn quality way… Yes! It’s that belly roll feeling. Then finally, it’s like feeding cheese cake to a starving girl on her period. Extremely satisfying! Hot, fast and hard. YUM! I cried. Darnit I cried… again! My heart was breaking for Beth and then I happy cried at the end. I really don’t have anything else to say… except maybe READ THE BOOK!

Cristin Harber is AMAZING!!!! The Titan series is easily one of THE BEST Military Romance series you will ever read! Do yourself a favor and start from the beginning with Winter's Heat! Amazing characters, intense military situations and a family of bad ass special ops men and women that will steal your heart! Hart Attack is Roman's story. It is FUNNY, heart warming and touches on a very serious topic all while making us care so much for these characters! The chemistry that all of these characters have will flame and excite you all while you recognize that they are "home!". Fabulous FULL length stories. Cristin has a WONDERFUL writing "Voice" that allows you to get sucked into the story and lose yourself! I HIGHLY recommend the ENTIRE Titan Series! One of our friends had suggested the great idea to "Gift" the book to a friend...and I think that is a BRILLIANT idea that I plan on doing!

I loved Cash and Nicola's stories but then I read this. I loved the complexity and raw emotions of the characters. That it wasn't just all steamy sex. I was literally laughing out loud and crying and just giddy --the full roller coaster and I loved every minute of it! Such a fan of this series.

I read all the other Titan books and I was waiting for this one to come out! I completely missed when it was released as a nook book. Once I purchased it, I had to force myself to wait until the weekend rolled around. I managed to read the book in two nights. The first night i had to force my self to put it down so that i could get some sleep and make it through the next day. Roman and Beth! OMGEE it is about time. There were times when I put the book down because I wanted to yell at the characters. I can't wait for Parker's story! If you have not read the other books, I suggest that you do! They are good as a set and each book builds on the one before!

Wish people would stop writing novellas for a review. Story was silly and CIA Beth is a joke. What's with the women of Titan and alcohol, it's a running theme in all of the books. The author usually has great characters but this one falls flat. The plots are always ridiculous and this one is no different.

This was a tough read for me, because it was not as well designed as the previous books in this series. There were a few too many moments in the story where Beth and Roman feel out of their undercover characters in locations that should have totally blown their cover and gotten them killed. I also had a hard time believing they would not have picked up on a significant part of the target's character until so late in the plot. Not the best, but still an entertaining read.

I wanted to read this ever since Beth's character was introduced during Nicola and Cash's story. But now I don't know if I like her as well. She's not as strong as I would have expected and she's kind of flighty. And is it nieve of me to think that a CIA agent shouldn't be risking an assignment so she can have sex with her sort of boyfriend?

Although I love the series, this did not appeal to me. Beth isn't tough like other Titan women, and she didn't seem suitable CIA. Too much sex and feelings in this one.

I loved Roman in the beginning of this series with Nicola and Cash and having this story all about him was wonderful. He is an intriguing character and then add the dynamic between him and Beth - it makes for an amazing story. Really enjoyed this book and seeing the different facets of Roman, can't wait to read more of this series!

OMG....finally we get Roman's story and if you have not read any of the Titan Series, it does not matter because these books suck you into a trance. You will love the characters, the plots, the twists, the action and the hot steamy sex scenes. This is the 5th or 6th in the series but hell yeah as usual Cristin Harber has done it again, given me a book hangover because once you pick up a Titan book you will not be able to put it down.

Hart Attack is the fifth book in author Cristin Harber’s Titan Group Series and unfortunately the first book in the series I have read. I say unfortunately because I have clearly been missing out on one hell of an amazing series and author. This book is everything a romantic suspense should be. It was exciting, pulse pounding, hot, sexy, and action packed! Now, I will say that since I don’t know a whole lot of the back story between Roman and Beth, my review may be lacking in that area but I will say that regardless of not reading the previous books in the series, I didn’t feel that I was missing out with the plot that played out in this installment. Beth Tourne is damn good at her role within the CIA. She’s the pretty face who uses her refinement and social status to schmooze with the high-caliber criminals the government is after and she does her job well. The one major downfall is that she really isn’t taken too seriously by her colleagues and that pisses her off. She yearns for a real assignment she would be able to show off her real skills as a CIA agent. She also yearns for the excitement that type of assignment would bring to help push away the pain she is suffering after a devastating loss in her past. Then there was Roman. Roman, the sexy Titan Group member who has grown to mean something to her despite her attempts at keeping her life focused solely on her career. Both infuriating and intriguing, Beth knows the attraction between them is growing and when she finally has the chance at a meaningful assignment, it may come at quite a cost. Titan Group member Roman Hart has spent years perfecting his skill as a soldier, fighter, protector, and pompous ass…according to Beth. Beth, the only woman that he wants to both push away and pull closer. The woman who breaks down his defenses and makes him want more. And that scared the crap out of him, primarily because he didn’t know how to handle having the woman he is caring more for day by day in situations that risk her life. He went through the pain of losing someone her loved a few years earlier and vowed never to let anyone get close to him again and to never feel that type of pain again. If only his heart would get on board with that plan. Now Roman must figure out how to handle the risks her career puts her in. Easier said than done for a man like Roman… With lives and love on the line, both Beth and Roman will have to break down their emotional walls and learn to trust and love again…before it’s too late and they lose the chance at happiness fate has given them. This was one hell of a book. I was drawn in from the very beginning and couldn’t put it down. The chemistry and attraction between Beth and Roman was done beautifully. It wasn’t soft and sweet. It wasn’t tender and fluffy. It was hard and real. It was honest and raw and I loved all of it. They both have been hurt terribly in the past and have very valid reasons for wanting to push one another away. It was those feelings that made the push and pull between them so delectable. Even though they both wanted to remember the reasons why they should stay away from each other, their hearts have a way of reminding them of just why it’s so damn right to be together. Adding to their individual emotional turmoil is the complication of Beth’s new assignment and the dangers she is in. Dealing with the wealthy and unsavory will put Beth in harm’s way and possible at the hands of a traitor within the CIA. The suspense aspect of this story played out beautifully and left me white knuckled, holding onto my e-reader and paying Beth and Roman would make it though and get their happy ending. (I won’t give anything away except to tell you that the ending was simply perfect! *dreamy sigh*) Thank you, Cristin, for an amazing read packed with emotion and suspense. I will certainly be going back to the beginning of the series to enjoy all of the Titan Group members!

Reviewed for Read Your Writes Book Reviews by Gemini Considering the fact that Hart Attack was the next installment in the Titan series, I had expected there to be a lot more gun battles and explosions. Instead, the battle was more of a psychological nature. Elizabeth “Beth” Tourne and Roman Hart had to fight their inner demons in order to finally realize that they were meant to be together. Oddly enough, Roman’s team members at Titan knew that well before they did. Beth works for the CIA and is a really good friend of Roman’s younger sister, Nicola, who is also a member of Titan and was a former member of the CIA. Titan is a black ops team that does secret missions for the U.S. government. Beth and Roman couldn’t be more different. He puts his life on the line regularly while her cover requires her to mix and mingle with the elite looking to purchase fine pieces of art. After some poor intel prevents Titan from securing a nuclear bomb, Roman ends up playing the role of bodyguard for Beth while she is trying to get close to a money launderer. The harder that they try to deny their feelings for each other, the closer they become. Unfortunately, this could also affect their missions. While they are battling their feelings, they must keep in mind that they still have jobs to do. They have some explosive sexual encounters that are far more interesting than any actual gun battles that come into play. Hart Attack was yet another great installment but don’t expect to be riveted. I did enjoy their mind games but would have loved to see more fireworks outside of the bedroom. This was a definite example of love being a battlefield. **Copy received courtesy of Mill Creek Press for an honest and unbiased opinion.**
