Arab women were always second to man in the Arab culture and other cultures in the world across history. Therefore, in literature we discern that almost the majority of books written were by or on men authors. Recently in the Arab countries excellence of women talents was found through women poets, writers, and management figures became recognized of excellence. Mary Recho in her first novel, Harwala Fawqa Saqi' Tolido, was one of these writers. This Arabic Novel by Mary Risho, the Arab woman writer, was written as a reflection of Toledo visit.Its selection as part of Ihyaa al Turath al Arabi fil Mahjar (Revival of Arab heritage in Diaspora) project supported by the Arab American Encyclopedia originated by the managing editor, a well known Arab American scholar, poet, and author of more than 250 books, Dr. Hasan Yahya resides in Michigan-USA, and has four children and ten grandchildren.
