This novella was a great read, but I could have kept reading if there was more. The characters are very likeable. You get sucked into the story right away. Leeny & Colleens relationship are just like any sisters their age. I loved how Leeny questions who she is and what she can do. Her relationship with her mother is like most 16 year olds. When its time for her to stand and fight to protect what is hers she stands with pride. Reading Haunted Moon before or after Compulsion I don't think makes a difference as its a good story on its own. At the end of the novella it did leave me wanting more.

I give this sweet little Novella 10*s!! It was an awesome perspective on Lenny's thoughts about becoming a witch and the trials she she struggles with in her thoughts. To finally realize that its her destiny and that she can take on the responsibility to protect not only the ones she loves but the people of the town against the bad vampires. Thank you Kym for the awesome little Novella!! This is a Must READ!!!

This is a novella written by Kymberlee Burks-Miller which shows Leeny Moon, Lilyann Moon's grandmother, as a teenager growing up in Galway, Ireland.
This is a fantastic short story that shows a teenager on the cusp of being accepted into her family's wiccan circle.
Leeny is a strong character in Compulsion, but in this novella, we see her as an uncertain teen who is only just learning her craft.
I thoroughly enjoyed this novella, and hope to read the next story in the Compulsion series soon.
If you haven't read Compulsion yet, I suggest you read this novella first and then Compulsion.
However, if you have already read Compulsion, I still recommend this novella, as it gives an insight into Lilyann's grandmother's character.

This was a great start to seeing Leeny as a child and the relationship she has with her mother and sister. This was a wonderful short read and I loved it and am looking forward to reading the rest of the series! Would definitely recommend it to anyone who likes stories about witches. Overall a easy read but wish it had been longer

It was amazing. I couldn't put it down. I read through it so quick that I'm dying to read Compulsion next. I absolutely loved the story. Not at all what was expected. I'm definitely recommending to all my reader friends. Well done K.B. Miller.

I bought this book on Amazon for only 99cents!!
I first started to read Compulsion by K.B. Miller. It was the first book, and a couple of chapters into it I stumbuled apon Haunted Moon and started it right away. I am so glad that K.B. decided to do a novella just for Granny (Leeny)! At first I was shocked that Leeny did not want to be a witch, but as the story keeps going she gets stronger and follows her fate to join the Moon Coven. I loved every part of this book! K.B. Miller you did an amazing job letting us look into the past, and into the Moon's history!! I rcomend this book and the whole siries to anyone who loves to read about witch's. Now back to reading Compulsion!! :)

Greatness!!!
This novella is GREATNESS!! I enjoyed reading it from beginning to end, &I was left wanting more more more! =D Leeny & Colleen remind me of my girls in many stages of the story. Seeing the very realness of their duties to protect & what that entailed through young Leeny's eyes was a great idea! A VERY GOOD READ! And...Off I go to purchase Compulsion (the first full length novel in the Moon Coven series). =*} Thanks for getting me hooked! :)

K.B Miller's novella retains the features of a full blown novel, with the obvious exception of word count. Haunted Moon is both compact and extremely well-crafted; it's a lovely introduction to Miller's Moon Coven Series. Haunted Moon successfully introduces the amazing character Lilyann and provides an insight into the powerful witch she is destined to become.
There is an effective build up of tension and action in this novel that allows an increase of pace and the reader to become immersed in Lilyann's plight. As a result, Haunted Moon provides more than a 'taster' of the series; it can effectively be read as a stand alone, yet there's no doubt that the reader will want to continue the journey with this fascinating coven.

This was a nice short story of a girl named Lenny who learns she will have powers as a witch. She'll have to learn how to protect herself and her family. She'll also learn she will have even more powers later on as the story unfolds. If you enjoy witches, grab this book and enjoy!!

This book was great! I can not wait to read the second book in the series to see where this goes. I got this book for free and just now got to start reading it. It was an amazing 30 minute read for me.
There were some grammatical errors but nothing serious. Kymberlee you did a terrific job writing this novella. You have great potential in the writing world.
The perspective from Aileen was amazing, I wonder what is going to happen in the second book Compulsion.

I love the cover on this short story companion to the Moon Coven Series by the author. And I really loved that it could be a stand alone book since I have not yet read the first book, Compulsion. The author brilliantly weaves a tale that leaves you wanting more. I loved reading about the characters and can't wait for the re-release of Compulsion to be able to continue following them! I recommend this book to everyone who likes a good witch story :)

This is the beginning of a truly good story to Compulsion. This is Leeny’s story and her beginning of becoming a Moon witch and her acceptance of her gift. Ms. Burks-Miller has a wonderful way of telling her story.

On Galaway Bay is where the moon witch coven is. Lenny is about to become the moon witch she was born to be. Her mother is the coven leader and it's time for her to teach Lenny how to use her powers and protect her family and coven. The coven's duty is to protect the humans from vampires. While taken out for practice Lenny and her mother run into a vampire and her mother protects her. She see's her mother in a different light and is unsure of how she feels about her new duty. She see's her mother in another light and having to deal with her sister's jealous is almost too much to handle.
This was a great story for a young reader. She see's her mother in another light and the strong bond she has with her sister is tested. She has to become her own person. It's a great lesson for every girl to explore. This was a great foundation to what I expect is a wonderful series. I can't wait to read more of the series.

I received this book in exchange for a honest review.
I haven't read anything by K.B. Miller until this, but I will now! This book is fast paced and intriguing! I really want to know whats next for Leeny and Colleen Moon. The story is very well written leading to the next book in the series.
This story is about Leeny who is unsure of whether or not she wants to be a Witch after witnessing her mother in action. After a turn of events, she ends up deciding which way she will go. She becomes initiated as a moon Witch after she finds out what happens to her aunt. I give this book a 5 star review.

Here is a great introduction into the world of Witches and the Moon family. When a daughter comes of age she must make the biggest decision in her life. A new grimoire to write in, a new weapon from Da and oh wait training in Vampire killing. Because in this world where your prophecy has been foretold you will have to fight to stay alive even if you don't want to. This is also a coming of age story when a young girl must make a decision to grow up and become who she is meant to be or say no and walk away. But when you take the easy road it just may mean the death of a loved one or yourself. Great as a stand alone or as an addition to the series. Would love to read more in this series - excellent.

I hadn’t read anything from the Moon Coven Series, but this novella was a great introduction which shows Leeny coming of age into her witchcraft heritage. Very descriptive and well written, this is the perfect glimpse into the series.

An awesome read! Aileen-Fionna, Leeny lives with her parents & two sisters, she is the eldest. Her mom is teaching her to protect those who can`t protect themselves against vampires.That`s what they do-kill vampires. The Moon Coven are Leeny`s family of witches. Leenys element is fire just like her mums. A truely riveting story. Blessed Be!

This is Leeny's story and how she became a Moon Witch, when she was sixteen. It was nice to hear about her entry into the coven. A nice addition to the Moon Witches series that Kymberlee has gifted us with. I look forward tho the next in this series! Love them!
