Overview

When Hay-Hay steps outside her house one morning an elf on a log turns her into a dog. She decides to go to school, and there she makes a day of it – a wild, untamed day of hyjinks until all the other students join in and the school is emptied. That's when the Police Officer shows up. This book was completed "alla prima," or "in one sitting." It was drawn direct, ink to paper, both illustrations and text.
