Tonic's third album is their best! Every song is so good that it's hard to find a favorite, because each song is unbelievably good. In this era of mediocre talent - this extremely talented band should be at the top of everyone's list of Favorite Band. And they're GREAT in concert!

I can¿t stop listening to this CD...the lyrics, melodies, guitar riffs. I¿m incredibly impressed! This is it, I¿ve found the new CD that will be in constant rotation in my CD player. For those who have had the awesome pleasure of seeing Tonic in concert, you¿ll appreciate the ¿official¿ release of ¿Irish. I love this CD from beginning to end (sometimes I have to listen to ¿Believe Me¿ twice in a row, it¿s that GREAT). Tonic is truly spectacular and this record proves it.

Tonic does what any good band does, they improve with each album, and this one is no exception! Each song seems to be about relationships, which is a topic we can all relate to. I like "Liar," it rocks as it challenges, "...take another shot, boy, I'm open." A couple of the more melodic songs, "Come Rest your Head" and "Believe Me" are very infectious as they get stuck in your head and just won't leave. And I'm really happy they put "Irish" on this disc as it's been one of my favorites they do when they're in concert. So add this album to your music collection today or you may be very sad you didn't.

"Take Me As I Am" was a great choice for a single. This CD is as great as the previous ones. "Irish" has a great sound. I recently went to a Celticfest and was so excited to hear some more Irish music on this CD.

Do they sing anything but love songs? All these songs sound the same. They all run together.

Remember sitting around back in 1995 and listening to the radio and hearing ¿If You Could Only See?¿ by Tonic? Remember getting Lemon Parade and hearing the same type of song all over the album? Remember when ¿You Wanted More¿ was in American Pie and then on Sugar and they did it again with an album of the same type of music? Tonic has done it again with ¿Take Me As I Am¿ and Head On Straight. If you¿ve liked Tonic since day one, then you¿ll love the new album. If you don¿t like their melodic guitar heavy crunch and the original ¿Lifehouse-styled¿ band, then don¿t read any more. Tonic is one of the bands that has escaped from the forefront of the music world and appears every once in a while with a new album. Disappearing after Lemon Parade, it took them another few years to get out Sugar. And now, after another disappearing act, Head on Straight is the Tonic of the prior two albums. Emerson Hart and Jeff Russo¿s lush guitars and harmonies meld with Dan Lavery¿s strong bass playing, and their studio drummer¿s rhythm all over. There¿s nothing spectacular to the rhythms like their old drummer, Jeremy Voght gave them, and the bass lines are nothing spectacular. But that isn¿t what Tonic is known for. The layering of acoustic and electric guitars has always been the strong point to the key-Tonic sound. Not only is that pulled off here, but to the ¿remember the song on ____¿ extreme. For example: ¿Head On Straight¿ is a nice strong ballad, along the likes of ¿Waiting for the Light to Change¿ (from Sugar); ¿Irish¿ invokes memories of ¿Celtic Aggression¿ (from Lemon Parade); and ¿Take Me As I Am¿ is like every poppy song that Tonic has written, especially invoking ¿You Wanted More.¿ All in all, Tonic has copied what they do best and released it as a new album¿ If you¿re a fan, get it; if you¿ve only listened to the radio Tonic stuff, listen to the radio or buy the single.

They've been gone for a while but you would never know it with this new CD! This CD has it all. Great ballads and rockin' tunes that make you want to jam right along with the band. It's been in my CD player since I got it.

This album is long awaited and definately well worth it. With the strong heart felt lyrics and great music to back each song there is no one favorite. There is no skipping a song to get to your favorite, each and every song grabs a hold and they are all great to listen to. I had the album the 1st day it came out, and it has been in my CD player ever since. Lemon Parade and Sugar along with this new album are three must haves for any music lovers collection. If you get the chace to see them live DO NOT PASS IT UP!!!! Tonic is a true "diamond in the rough" in the vast world of rock and roll!!!
