A girl. A guy. A tiny white lie. What could go wrong? (A lot). Sweet and sexy, sassy romantic comedy from RWA Golden Heart finalist Cindy Procter-King.
Magee Sinclair has had it with the recent blunders pushing her family's advertising agency to the brink. How can she accept the promotion her father plans when she keeps making costly mistakes? She needs to bring in more business however she can. So when new client Justin Kane asks her to act as his girlfriend for a weekend in exchange for a lucrative campaign, she jumps at the chance.
Justin's goal to expand his chain of bike stores hinges on a distribution deal with a manufacturer. First, he needs to impress the man at a mountain resort while they bike trails with their significant others. But Justin's girlfriend dumps him, forcing him to find a quick replacement. Magee—pretty, clever, and a skilled cyclist—is the perfect choice.
Or so Justin thinks.
Because Magee is in major trouble. She knows no more about mountain biking than Justin does about demi-bras. Before long, an irate ex pops up, fake identities abound, and a whole lot of doors slam in the middle of the night. Yet, through the chaos, Magee and Justin discover what it really means to fall head over heels...

After collecting the cotton balls from beneath the sink, Justin bent on one knee in front of her. He set the bowl of water and antiseptic on the floor. His gaze fell to Magee's crossed legs, and stayed there. Her heart raced. She wasn't certain, but she thought she heard him swallow a groan.
"Part for me," he murmured.
A jolt of carnal desire shot through Magee. She licked suddenly dry lips. "Wh-what?"
"The towel," Justin whispered, sounding a bit like he was choking. "Part ... the ... towel. So I can see the scrape."
Finger-combing her hair behind one ear to mask her jumping nerves, Magee extended her left leg inch by slow inch until her pointing toes nearly skimmed Justin's washboard stomach. The towel slipped open to reveal her upper thigh.
Justin's eyes gleamed with non-doctorly lust. "Very nice," he said, his voice low, husky, and tinged with appreciative amusement. "But, it just occurred to me, this sitting down won't work. You scraped yourself on the back of your leg, so I need you to stand ... or lean over ... or lie down."
His gaze rose to link with hers. And pulled her into their swirling blue depths.
Where Magee swam willingly.
"I vote for the lying down," she whispered.

Classic pretend to be his girlfriend plot but with its own twist; nice character development; about 150 pps
Justin needs a woman--a woman for the weekend to cinch the deal with a bike distributor, which means mega bucks. Magee is counting on Justin's deal to make up for all her blunders at her father's ad agency. The story is set. Magee seems to be a klutz in that cute, funny, adorable way. You gotta love her sincerity and dedication, but she's just not very good at lying, which makes for an entertaining show. What torture to pretend to be someone's girlfriend! Yet each couldn't deny the growing attraction for one another. Witty and Enjoyable! A sweet, little romance.
Head Over Heels - I don’t usually like stories where the relationship is based on lies but the characters in Head Over Heels made it very appealing. It’s a fast read, funny and amusing – a great choice to throw in your beach bag this summer. Full review available at BookTrib or RomanticReadsandSuch (dot) wordpress (dot) com
Magee Sinclair is a bit of a klutz, but nothing tops losing two big clients from her family's advertising company. She needs to keep their client, Justin Kane, happy to stay in the black. So when Justin claims he wants Magee to stand in as his girlfriend to seal the deal for his chain of bike stores to get bigger distribution, well, what choice is there? Except nothing is going as planned, but through the chaos, Magee and Justin are falling head over heels. Cindy and I have been connected through many social media sites for a number of years, but I've yet to have the privilege of reading one of her books. Big mistake. I fully plan on checking out her backlist. She writes with humor and wit and underlying emotion that's hard to translate. I fell in love with Justin and Magee from the start, and nothing is better than a true-to-life bumbling heroine. The setting was beautiful in its detail, putting me right there, and the secondary characters propelled the plot. My only two quirks were the premise, (a common one), but Cindy put a fresh spin on things, and I never felt bored. And the story lacked a deep conflict, but again, she pulled it off. Recommended.
