A Little Bite of Love: Book Two

Months after being forced to leave his lover and mate Ari Jannsen behind, Hunter Devin settles into his role as Enforcer for the newly formed Deagan Clan under the rule of his new Alpha and best friend Tristan "Trip" Hagan. Along with Hunter’s brother Boone, their nephews, sister, and mother, Hunter finally has the family he’s always wanted, but without his little rebel Ari, his heart is incomplete.

The Hagan Clan is unable to accept the Deagan Clan’s betrayal for walking away and taking the clan’s pups with them. War looms. As both clans plan their attack, a greater enemy plots against them. But Hunter is determined to get his Ari back. Bonds are put to the test and unexpected alliances are made as Hunter and his clan set out to protect their own and end the spreading heartache.

i have read a lot of charlie cochet's work and i would never describe any of them as violent. if you're going to read shifter novels you can't expect rainbows and unicorns. oh, clutch the pearls. this was so much fun! the plot, the characters, every thing; i wish there was a writer who could pull you brilliant shifter authors to create an anthology of the ins and outs of shifters. it would help clarify a lot for those innocents who think this is violence:)

If I had to describe this book in one word it would be violent. Not all the blood and guts but fights, deceit, backstabbing, death. Clan against Clan, Father and Son against each other mothers conspiring to have there adult children and even there grandchildren ‘taken care of’. And yes we do have some loving sweet moments but is not your normal lets find our mate and ride off into the sunset type book. This book is fasted paced and enjoyable giving you a lot of information but easy enough to follow. My biggest head scratched was how were these two able to keep there relationship for four years in a small, close-knit community a secret. I was given a copy of this book in exchange for an honest review by Crystals many reviews

FourandHalfStars I loved this story. It was heartfelt, sad, full of backstabbing and action. All the things that make books awesome to read. Cochet did an amazing job of describing the love between Ari and Hunter. This story also went through aspects where family was so much more than a pack. The "pure" pack had some seriously misguided members. I wanted to cry so hard when I read about Trip's tragedy, but wanted to yell and scream at his father. I could see very clearly the tight rope that Trip's mom was trying to walk, all the while trying to stay true to her husband and her son. Love is so much more than blood. It is who you make of it - and while Ari and Hunter had huge obstacles in their lives, I loved how they were able to overcome and solve the great issues. Ari was understanding of Hunter's "protector" blood - when Hunter was ashamed, Ari was so compassionate towards Hunter. Also, Hunter's worry for Ari - always asking covertly - you could really see the love. I was given this in return for an honest review by Inked Rainbow Reads. AvidReader
