I've read this book multiple times, and I'm still amazed at the lies and deceit that Liysa Northon crafted and told to everyone. To this day, she still proclaims her innocence, claiming self defense. Her father, who I don't know if he's in denial or just as crazy as Liysa, still stands behind her and has posted a negative review of this book on another popular site. You will read this book from cover to cover, and then read it again. What amazes me is that this woman has supporters, people that believe she's innocent! She led everyone to believe that her husband Chris was an abusive monster, when in reality, Liysa Northon is the monster. Ann Rule does a great job of writing this story and giving the victim, Chris Northon, and his family a voice. A definite must read!

I absolutely loved this book! This is the first book I've read of Ann's and I'm looking for more now. I've given this to both my mother and mother-in-law - both have given rave reviews.

This was the first Ann Rule book tha I've ever read. I chose this book because it seemed to be interesting. When I started to read the book I was shocked at just how it grabbbed all my attention. Worth every penny. Sad, but true story. This book is really wll written.

This book was excellent. I hardly stopped reading it until finished. Ann Rule captures the very essence of the main characters and develops all aspects of their personality. I highly recommend it.

This was the saddest and cruelest example of a selfish woman who cared nothing about the life of others. I bought this book to read while I ran on the treadmill and I read the whole book in 2 days. I just couldnt stop, I had to know what happened.

This book is a real page-turner, one of Rule's best. Lisa Northon, who murdered her husband after maliciously trying to paint him as a violent brute, is a grand manipulator. She callously destroyed many lives and this is a chilling portrait of a woman who had everything except a soul.

Though sad, this book was well written and deserves 5 stars. I'm hoooked on Ann Rule Books. Not only does she speak for the deceased, she tells the story from beginning to end. Showing pictures is a plus!!!

I enjoyed the book but it was slow, too many characters, and hard to follow at times due to repeating of things. i did enjoy the character of Lysa though there are many people in this world just like her....except they luckily don't go as far as she did to get what she wanted.

Fascinating story - I went back and re-read portions to try to get a handle on this malicious woman. Women who manufacture domestic abuse claims are as evil as men who perpetrate them. No doubt both sides will argue to the end of time what the truth of the abuse claims were, but you can't escape the fact that this woman was an intelligent, well supported woman who had other routes available to her in the event that her version was true, it is unfortunate for her that she told so many lies in her life and documented them, and entirely her fault that now she is judged by them. Clearly suffering from personality disorders galore. I don't say that the book is brilliant - I just personally found it fascinating to read about this woman who says she stands up for domestic abuse, yet in fact has done the cause an enormous disservice. I pity the poor fool who she has married! If you are interested in personality disorders and fantasists, this is an interesting book from that standpoint.

This is the 3rd book of Ann Rule that I have read, this is the best book I've read so far by her. The story is touching, sad, and unthinkable. This is a must read book. After reading Small Sacrifices I really didn't know if i wanted to read another book by Ann, but I had purchased both books at the same time and I'm so glad i did. This book has made me a fan of her work again. Loved it.

Since most spousal killers tend to be men, it might be even more interesting to learn about the mind and motives of a woman killer, especially one who already seems to have it all. Heart Full of Lies delivers with a woman who at the center of this tragedy seems to have it all, but is never satisfied enough; confident, driven, self-centered, she plans to get away with murder. The setting of Hawaii is exotic, and the characters at times seem like they could be seen in National Geographic type shows, but their inner struggles and human failties are all too real. Ann Rule knows how to balance both sides of the story and delivers another page-turner. Excellent reading!

Heart Full of Lies, is great reading, and very captivating. A book, hard to put down. I'd compare it to 'In Cold Blood', and is deemed to be a classic.

I've read and enjoyed every one of her books EXCEPT this one. I found myself skimming over the pages. It is boring and uninteresting.

I bought this book because a new friend told me that Heart Full of Lies was written about a murder that happened in out area of Washington state and I like turth based books. I have really enjoyed reading the way Ann Rule writes but I wouldn't call it a "page turner".
