A Heart of Devotion is a compelling story of the many spiritual battles women face today in a world full of temptation. At first I thought the women's spiritual walks were a bit too good to be true, that they were unbelievably faithful to God. Then the hard times came and their true hearts were revealed. Everyone is weak and anyone can be broken. That was the theme of A Heart of Devotion, and I loved it. I loved getting to know the women in the story. I found the characters to be ultimately very real, and in the end, very honest--especially the men. The author did a great job developing the different characters, especially Tyson and Xavier. In the end, God worked everything for the good for those who love Him and are called according to His purpose. That's the story of Anisha and Sherri. It's a must read for anyone needing encouragement. It spoke to me in so many ways. This is a spiritually powerful book and I highly recommend it.

I really enjoyed this book and it was very inspirational and positive. Gave great advice and I am definately going to use some of the ideas in the book for myself. This is encouraging me to devote more of my time with God and not get distracted.

With God. I became convicted along with the character because I know that I need to spend more time with God as well. The story was very much realistic and true page turner I became. It reminds us that God is first and foremost in our lives and when we don't understand the intricacies of Him...Trust Him More. I am still reveling in how it touched me. I recommend this book to anyone who still believes in love with the right one and the Main ONE.

For me this book was a reality check. I could really relate to both characters Anisha and Sherri. I would recommend this book to anyone who is struggling with relationships. It gives clear examples of what happens to relationships not built on God's word!

Tia McCollors steps out on faith and pens a blessed romance, which proves that falling head over heels in love with God will change your life forever. Anisha Blake is a single black female on the fast track to success in the corporate world, but is riding on empty in the dating scene. Anisha has gone seventy-eight weekends without a date and still does not have a prospect. She spends most of her free time either with her girlfriend, Sherri, thinking about starting her own consulting firm, or meditating on God. Anisha promises God she will invest more time into her relationship with Him then Tyson Randall called turning her world upside down. Anisha and Tyson initially met at church. He was everything she prayed for in a man ¿ honest, good-looking, goal-oriented, and most important, had a relationship with the Lord. They had a whirlwind affair full of love, respect, and honesty. That is until his ex- girlfriend, Brandy showed up. After a series of coincidences, family issues and job-related problems, Anisha decided to listen to the urging of her heart and establish a closer relationship with God. In order to accomplish this task, she had to let go of some distractions and Tyson was one of them. Will Anisha be able to focus of God and listen to the Holy Spirit? Will Anisha and Tyson be able to find each other again? Meanwhile, Sherri was dealing with her own demons. She was a roommate with two other friends, Veronica and Tamara, both of which she wanted to share the word of God with but did not have the courage. Sherri, like Anisha, had been dateless for more weekends then she cared to count. She desired to be loved and held by a man more than anything, even though she made a personal covenant with God that she would remain celibate until marriage. Would Sherri find a man to love as much as she loved God? Will she be able to find her purpose? A Heart of Devotion is an exquisite piece of literary work that will minister to everyone who reads the words from its pages. McCollors does an extraordinary job of developing the characters and inserting the voice of God into their thoughts. Her use of scripture and ability to make you think about the Word of God is awe-inspiring. A Heart of Devotion will convict the reader and minister to your soul.  A must read for the Christian Romance fan, anyone that is searching for their purpose in life or someone wanting to have a love affair with God. Tia McCollors is well on her way to becoming the next best- selling Christian fiction author.  Reviewed by M. Bruner for Loose Leaves Book Review

Christian fiction readers watch out! Tia McCollors is a dynamite addition to this market. 'A Heart of Devotion' was fabulous. It is well written with strong characterization, great dialogue and the kind of rhythmic pacing usually accomplished by multi-published, bestselling authors, not first time novelist. Imagine what Ms. McCollors will become with more novels under her belt when this one was so perfectly done. It's proof that 'You can do all things through Christ'. I really enjoyed this book. It was a blessing to my soul. It made me laugh, cry and challenged me spiritually while keeping me on the edge of my seat as I turned the pages at 2:30 a.m. and then again at 6 a.m. (Had to find out what was going to happen!) By the end of the novel, the characters felt like old friends. Boy was I rooting for Anisha and Sherri. I almost stopped to pray for them. Now you know that's real! I sense a sequel and look forward to it and more work by Tia McCollors. What a blessing! Rhonda
