About the Author

Joleene Naylor is the author of the glitter-less Amaranthine series, a world where vampires aren’t for children. As a compliment to the novel series, she has also written several short stories, including the Vampire Morsels collection, and an Amaranthine Encyclopedia. In what little time is left she watches anime and updates her blogs, all from a crooked Victorian house in Villisca, Iowa. Between her husband and her pets, she is never lonely, and should she ever disappear one might look for her on a beach in Tahiti, sipping a tropical drink and wearing a disguise. 4 stars Worth Reading... Total Pages: 90; Story Pages: 49 Prelude stories (9) about characters (vampires) that are in the next book of the series, "Heart of the Raven." The other half of the book is a preview of "Heart of the Raven," which I didn't read because I'm reading the actual book as soon as I get done writing this review.

This book is only 42 pgs. It contains short stories that are tied to another book, my complaint is that the stories aren't complete, so you really have to buy the other book for a full understanding. The author does state this, I just thought they would be complete, but as a reader you might not understand past relationships between the characters. Overall a 3.5.
