Creating dream homes,
That's what I do.
As the country's #1 home renovator,
I'm in high demand.

And when I encounter, April,
I know something's off,
Nobody wants that crap property,
Unless they're looking for something more,
Something free.

And I refuse to get burned again.
It's happened one time too many.

But something about her,
The way she gives,
Devotes everything to everyone else,
Makes me second-guess myself.

After one touch, I'm sold,
Ready to build something,
With her,
For us,

About the Author

USA Today Bestselling Author Lizabeth spent years doing extensive research in preparation for writing her own stories by reading every romance book she could get her hands on. At least that's how she justifies her HUGE collection of romance books to Mr. Scott.

Liz grew up on a dairy farm in western North Carolina, married her high school sweetheart, and they have 2 children and 2 simply adorable grands. With her children now settled, Liz pulled her dreams of writing back out and that little spark that sizzled for years caught fire and is now roaring back to life.

Liz loves to read and write stories about quirky, endearing heroines and the strong, handsome heroes who love them to distraction. She promises you a few laughs along the way with some steamy and charming moments thrown in but always a happy ever after.

Heartbreaker: How To Renovate A Playboy by Lizabeth Scott is book one in her Billionaires of White Oaks series. Though part of a series, this novel reads as a standalone, as will all novels in the series. April White is a interior designer looking to complete renovations on a home that has historical significance for her family. Belinda Holt, sister of Elias Holt has just encouraged April to plan her wedding and have the festivities at White’s Manor. Elias Holt is the host of Facelift Reno, a popular TV show featuring home renovations. He thinks April is exploiting his sister in an attempt to use his fame to promote her business. Elias and April are both conflicted by their personal relationship and familial connections but are unable to resist the fiery physical attraction that has overtaken them. How do you make sense of a relationship that seems senseless? The story is told through the alternating viewpoints of Elias and April, which the author handles nicely with appropriate chapter headers. The use of historical sites as scenery is well thought out. The characters are fully-developed and the plot is engaging. Though some elements could have been executed further I still fully enjoyed Heartbreaker and rate it 4 out of 5 stars. I recommend it to anyone who enjoys romance with a lot of heat. My thanks to the author and Glenfinnan Publishing for the opportunity to read an advance copy of this book. However, the opinions expressed in this review are 100% mine and mine alone.

Well the story kept me flipping through the pages waiting to see what would happen next. The storyline is kinda cute and I had good time while reading, maybe because lately I like to read easy, feel good romances with a happy ending and this is one of those books. I am looking forward of reading other books by this author.

This is my first book by Inara Scott. It will most certainly not be my last. I loved “Heartbreaker”! The book is sweet, sexy and a definite page turner. I loved the main characters, Tess and Mason. They seem to be total opposites. Tess had a rough childhood and is trying to finish her schooling while juggling several jobs. Mason had a great childhood and is part of a group of friends who have made billions in Silicon Valley. When Mason’s sister dumps her adorable dog, Wick, at his place, Mason is at a loss how to deal with the big, goofy mastiff. Enter Tess, a woman working several jobs, including dog walker/trainer. Mason grabs at a chance meeting with Tess and convinces her to be Wick’s dog sitter. The sparks fly from the moment the two meet, and it only gets better. Tess is living pay check to pay check, trying desperately to put her difficult past behind her and move on, studying to become a veterinarian. She is defensive about her life and wary of men like Mason, who seem to have it all. Mason, meanwhile, is intrigued by the “grubby urchin” he’s met, and little by little he begins to needle his way into her life. The two embark on an affair, with neither of them realizing just how close they are becoming with each day. The characters were so much fun, and I had a serious crush on Mason. And it was so easy to identify with Tess and her struggles. The dialogue was snappy and fun, and I was so sorry when the book ended. Ms. Inara created a world that I was more than happy to inhabit. And I am eagerly awaiting the next books in the series. I highly recommend this one! Note: I received a copy of this book for an honest review.

The push pull of this story lured me in and kept me flipping through the pages waiting to see what would happen next. Mason is saddled with his sisters Mastiff, untrained, poor bladder control and all around thorn in Mason's side when he meets Tess who happens to be a dog walker and trainer. He lures her into dog sitting for Wick while he's working and evenings if he's got events he needs to tend to. The money is too good for Tess to pass up. Mason is a highly successful and wealthy businessman with his two college friends. Each of them have different qualities, together they make a tremendous living with a great reputation. Mason is a nice guy. Despite the fact he gets teased about his 4 date rule; which is untrue and that comes back to haunt him in his relationship with Tess. Tess has such a crappy upbringing, until her Grandmother steps in and brings her to live with her near Oakland. Tess is doing her best to make a better life for herself, back in college, working three jobs and the dog walking, the girl works hard to keep a roof over her head and the walls to her heart even harder. Mason takes up a lot of her time and the chemistry between them is outrageously hot. He's clearly taken with her, as she is with him, but pushes him away when he gets close. She's frustrating and I have to hand it to Mason for being fully present and consistent with her. Tess doesn't know how to handle someone who just wants her, she trusts no one except for her best friend Cece. I loved this story although the book was a slower read than I like and seemed to lag in some spots. The ending seemed anti-climatic for me. However it doesn't take away that this was a good read and well written. The dogs were the best! I look forward to Cece's book! arc from NetGalley and Entangled for an honest review

This was such a sweet romantic story about two people that really were not looking for love and found it in the most unlikely place. I just loved Mason he was such a sweet caring guy. Everyone thought of him as a player even his friends. They always teased him about his 4 date rule. It never use to bother him but lately it is getting under his skin. Tess was just as sweet but she had a hard life. At points in her life she did not always do the right thing. Now as an adult she has changed her life around and is trying to make something of herself. Mason and Tess meet because Mason needs someone to help him with his sisters dog which he is dog watching. From the moment they meet sparks fly. Their relationship is one misunderstanding after another. I absolutely loved this book and the characters in it. I cannot wait to see where this series goes next because honestly there are so many possibilities. Thanks Net Galley. I voluntarily reviewed this book in exchange for an honest review.

Tess Papion has had a hard life and knows she can only rely on herself not only did she have a mother who was continually in love and dragged her along for the ride but she made a stupid decision that left her pregnant out of school and dumped by her boyfriend at the age of sixteen but now at 26 she is doing a internet degree is working three jobs and finally getting her life in line. Mason Coleman is the exact opposite his life is silver lined he is a successful venture capitalist with a four date rule He has the face of fallen angel and definitely lives up to that tag. Now he is caring for his sisters 200lb injured mastiff "Wick" and he has no idea how to handle him. Whe he and Wick tangle (literally) with Tess and the dogs she is walking he gives her an offer she can't refuse to help him with Wick There is instant attraction between these two leading to some sass and spice between them will it develop into more you need to read Will Tess drop the chip on her shoulder will Mason start to live again it is all in the detail that you will as you progress through this fun story

Tess Papion is a busy woman on a mission, she is working three jobs, taking classes, and determined to get her life back on track. She doesn't have time for men, or the headaches they bring along with them. After seeing her mother fail time after time in the love department she has no desire to give it a try either... but she didn't plan on meeting a man quite like Mason Coleman either! The moment they meet the sparks start flying and tensions are high, but she is determined to keep her libido in check, and keep him at bay... but unfortunately her heart has other plans!! Between the pages of Heartbreaker you will meet a feisty heroine with a serious dislike for love, and a playboy venture capitalist that doesn't do love, but "love" doesn't seem to agree with either of them! These two love birds try to fight the sparks bouncing around between them at every turn, but they soon learn their resistance is futile... and finally give in! This charming little tale had me smiling and giggling throughout, it's lighthearted story line lifted my spirits and had my heart overflowing with joy. I highly recommend this one, it's a can't miss, feel-good romance story loaded with every necessary to leave you smiling!

Fun, relaxing, and heartwarming. Tess and Mason just made me smile. Mason is at his wits end caring for his sister's slobbering, unruly, completely out of control Mastiff. That's how Tess enters his life. Tess is working three jobs while finishing up her degree. Trying hard to get her life back on track. She doesn't have time for the uptight, stoic Mason Coleman. The last thing she needs is a man distracting her. When he makes her and offer she can't afford to refuse she caves into helping him. Mason has no idea how Tess will turn his well ordered world upside down! You don't want to miss this one. I highly recommend it.
